Drop-in pitches

What do you think of them. Some pitch definitely has bounce bit of pace. But loads of run are scored even on big grounds like we do in Hyderaba, Cochin, Rajkot. Infact Adelaide pitch i never saw this much bounce. It kept rearing off of good length

apparently when it happened during the India v Aus series it was one big BCCI conspiracy drop in pitches in Nz Aus or anywhere= flat and without character

worst thing to happen to cricket in australia,it doesnt matter for odis but test matches are excrutiating to watch sometimes.

well adelaide seems to lost its character. drp in one seems to have more bounce

I think Aus cricket has basically sold its soul to Aussie rules. These stadiums double up as Aussie riles venues and only Perth has retained its character.

and its not just Adelaide. Even in NZ when India toured these drop in pitches were used. In Nz these grounds double up as rugby union venues. Only in England and South africa (traditional venues) in the west are there dedicated cricket grounds. There is no way Lords will ever be a drop in pitch

and the reason for that bounce is the grass they have left, mostly brown grass. It does not provide lateral movement but keeps the pitch intact and provides some extra bounce on a hard pitch.
