If Ireland beats West INdies today somehow, than both the teams will be looking for their first win in thier next game against each other. This means one of West Indies or Pakistan will be having 0-2 record and would have yet to play South Afirca or India in the group. Zimbabwe mean while gave it away against South Africa, but still put up 277 and frankly played South African bowling comfortably. I think we are getting to the point where pressure might get to one of the top 8 teams. :two_thumbs_up:

I do see both Zim and Ireland are playing their share of games in NZ also. I personally think that it will get tougher for West Indies and Pakistan. It won't be as smooth as it looked earlier.

Anything is possible - apart from SA, other top teams in the group don't appear too assured with their form and like you said Zim and Ireland appear in the fighting mood. And SA has a tendency to choke too

I know what you mean but on that note, let me also say that if West Indies comes out as b4 then theywont have much chance against A1 either. Yes , they might be better on paper but i expect Irish to still fight. Basicaly B4 is already starting as underdog against A1 which is going to be Australia most likely.

Hopefully there won''t be any missteps against lower ranked teams.. :nervous:

I know they got thrashed, but they still got decent bowling and batting to cross the line agaibst most teams. If they play their quater final in Australia against any other team other than India, I think they will make it to semis. In nz, they wont have the same advantage.

India can play only Australia @ Adelaide. If England then its @ MCG, if SL then its @ SCG, if NZ its @ Wellington. It's all pre-decided.

Black Zero Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Guys from group B SAF 1st and india 2nd is assured but 3rd and 4th spot is up for grab between four teams, Pak , WI, Ire, and Zim in this order, so we are almost certainly through to quarters unless we lose 4 of our remaining 5 matches, and there is no chance in hell of happening that, no matter how worse we play, we just need 2 wins vs three minnows, and we can even afford to slip vs a minnow, so stay chilled.
