You have about a 50 yr head start in tests. We are ranked higher and have a better w/l ratio so go watch some Bollywood. :hysterical:
Are you seriously saying the Sri Lankan Test (or ODI) team is better than the Indian team? ICC Rankings mean nothing by the way. We lost against Australia, against whom you don't have a good record either: 2011-2012 Sri Lanka v. Australia Australia won 1-0 2012-2013 Australia v. Sri Lanka Australia won 3-0

4 days and 100 overs per day does not sound that bad to be honest. The impetus would be to produce match winning pitches. But a result can be enforced in 400 overs. In most matches they extra 50 overs are not used. I can see why the ECB has proposed this. Matches start on a Thrusday and end to a Sunday. Both counties bleed money on day 5 as not many people are in. However this needs to be 100% researched. In games in the subcontinent in the winter time the light dies out at about 4pm. I dont think we can get the boosted overs in.

Meh do whatever with tests if it can generate interest.4 days , day & night tests whatever .Otherwise test cricket wont survive outside Ashes in 10-15 years time. Feck off with the 40 over ODI suggestion.

Guys - chill Just a PR exercise by England with a convenient "leak" to make it sound "relevant" and stay in news. Nothing's gonna happen without India's stamp of approval.
Does ECB still think we are living in the 80's. :haha: Its BCCI who makes the decesions, ECB :finger:

A good Test match isn't one that is drawn or one-sided. There is a reason no casual cricket viewer watches South Africa v. West Indies matches. The good matches are where the result is decided in the last 15-20 overs (or even closer). This stupid proposal would eliminate that. So the people who watch Test matches just because it is happening will still watch it. But a lot of the casual viewers (i.e. the people who generate the revenue) may stop.

100 overs per day is not possible, they'll have to start an hour early and most of the crowd comes in late.also the fact that players will be more tired and may not give their best in the final session.this format will produce too many draws

Unless these miserly mofos agree to turn on the lights we aren't going to see many tests with results. The dumbfecks happily trot off the fields already citing bad lights. And anyway, even if all the 400 overs are bowled completely, proper result pitches have to be laid out to offset the lack of the additional 50 overs.

BCCI makes 0 cricketing decisions, only financial decisions. Who won the Jadeja-Anderson fight, ECB or BCCI? Why 2 new balls to negate reverse swing and spin bowling? What is with these stupid field restrictions? BCCI influence is a myth propagated by these goras.
