My mother's side...whole family 9 children..all escaped to Kolkata within a single day. Mother's uncle, niece, aunts...many of them who stayed back were murdered. Properties grabbed illegally. Went to visit the surviving members about 12 years ago in Chittagong. At noon, some Islamic prayer came on TV...and everyone in the house went into a moment of silence...I was like wtf? Was told to be quiet and not make much sound 'til the prayer is over. No explicit instruction to do so from the community but they never take any chance...living in constant fear...I guess.
