Selectors should have realised phattas are used all over the world and someone like Sharjeel Khan would have been useful

Sharjeel is a good hack well he is Sehwag type player. Also can play those classy cover drives and Anwaresque flicks. I actually liked Sharjeel the batsman,He was positive upfront and could take on bowlers. However relied too much on hand eye co ordination and was a confidence player. Recently he has been scoring big so why not have him. Having said that Haris Sohail, Babar Azam and Umar Siddiq are finest of pakistani upcoming batsmen and very unlike the usual pakistani batsmen. You will see these guys in near future.

Its more due to the rule changes brought by ICC...2 new balls...but what is hurting is one less fielder on the boundry.....not to mention those bats....wow..looks thinker then a baseball bat. All those is resulting in this kind of a complete joke. But the biggest reason IMO is the planning and scheduling of this World Cup by ICC. There is just tooooooo much idling time in this WC. Already this WC is like 3 weeks...and most teams have played just 3 games (with 4th games later in the week). so much time for the teams to kill...have just killed the buzz that the initial games showed. Ideally by this time..the teams should be played 5 games...& preparing for the last league games...& the matches would have been better. But I don't see any improvement down the line. ICC will say that 10 teams will help in scheduling...but I am sure when the schedule comes out for the next WC..it will be bigger and longer then this WC.

MCGGG Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Blame the rule changes, 2 new balls helps massively with late innings hitting, 2 men outside the circle, tree trunks as bats, roped off grounds, most ODI players are skilled in the art of T20 now days too. Like it or not ODI pitches are meant to be flat, but I think the major issue with these drop in pitches is they are tending to slow up during the second innings, hopefully they can get them right come finals.
