The fact that Srini has to turn to Pawar means he has been sidelined at the BCCI.But how much Pawar will entertain a snake like Srini remains to be seen.Anyways nothing can be done now.

Also what irked the ICC chairman was the fact that Dalmiya’s son Avishek was running the day to day affairs of the BCCI So Dalmiya snubbed Power and now Powar and Srini r joining camps .Considering almost all factions are either controlled by either Srini or Powar not sure why Dalmiya is trying to be confrontational with both . Anyway its pretty poor of BCCi to leave almost all the committees unfilled .Cricinfo had a detailed article about it

Aniruddha Choudhury is son of Ranbir Mahendra a old Dalmiya ally and has been warming upto Dalmiya.Amitabh Choudhury of Jharkhand is also a old Dalmiya man who had sided with Srini to escape Pawar's wrath so he has been warming upto Dalmiya as well. Dalmiya and Thakur are slowly laying down their plans,expect a full Srini clean up in the next AGM in September.

The DY Patil issue first started in 2012 when England toured India. Till 2011 Pawar and Manohar controlled the BCCI.Pawar brought in Srini as Treasurer in 2005 and then he was made Secretary in 2011 under Manohar. Pawar envisaged that Srini will be on friendly terms with him and he will continue to have a say in BCCI. Srini came in 2011 and absolutely cleansed any Pawar infuence at the BCCI and went on a dictatorial streak.He was very brazen in his ways and treated Pawar with contempt(I dont think even a PM of India has ever treated Pawar badly). This made Pawar/Manohar/Bindra join hands to remove Srini and back Verma.Even Lalit Modi financially backed Verma.The objective was to remove Srini and they succeded. But the votes were divided in such a way that Dalmiya became President and Pawar had to back Thakur as only he could make sure that BJP votes go againist Srini(Amit Shah had to intervene utimately).So neither of the top 2 posts are with people who are Srini or Pawar loyalists. Infact Dalmiya is far more adept at BCCI ways then either Srini or Pawar.Many of his loyalists had gone to Srini camp to escape Pawar's wrath and they are now flocking back to him.Thakur is making sure that all the BJP controlled votes remain together and his lieutenant who may become a BCCI office bearer soon is Jai Shah. They are also slowly cajoling the fence sitters towards them.They include UP/Baroda/Goa.

Aditya Verma said in his interview that he was backed by Pawar who made Salve and Nalini Chidambram appear for him.Verma was introduced to Pawar by Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay.Sahay wanted recognition for his own Cricket association of Jharkhand instead of Srini backed JSCA.And It was Sahay who initially backed Verma.
