vvvslaxman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2015/03/12/indian-man-responds-to-documentary-on-indian-rape-with-his-own-documentary-on-british-rape/ Reached washington post. It is going to go viral. This is possibly the best response .
G_B_ Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 well duh you walk around central london at 2am on a friday or a sat and you have girls who are practically naked and drunk. They either get mugged or raped or both and its impossible for the police to even catch anybody as they are out of their minds (due to intoxication) and dont even remember who did what to them. More than a rape problem the United Kingdom as a big alcohol problem. Cheap booze has meant many city centres have become no go zones.
G_B_ Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 One thing i will say i personally dont like that fact that rape has become this national issue. Leslie Udwin was 100% wrong in the way she made her documentary and sold India as the rape capital of the world. This video too is not nice and comes across as immature with some terrible images of girls in distress. The point is that rape is an important issue, sensationalist documentaries are not what is going to solve the core problem in both counties. More than a rape problem India does have a law and order problem. Crime rate from rapes to robberies etc are all on the rise. We need more police and we need a more equitable distribution of wealth.
vvvslaxman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Years ago people leslie udwin might have got away. In this social network era it is very hard to escape from backlash.
Stuge Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Yet to see the video ..I wonder what does such response going to do ..nothing.
velu Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 good work .. but important thing to consider here is rapists are Indians in india and pakistanis in england
SLICKR392 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Calling it a response is pretty awkward. This is not some sort of a competition on whose worse than the other.
cricketjoshila Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Typical Indian response.Deflect the issues.
vvvslaxman Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Typical Indian response.Deflect the issues. Typical pakistani's attitude is killing school kids, Shooting at touring teams. You know among the all the countries when it comes to gender gap Pakistan is the third worst. Why don't you handle it instead of deflecting by talking about Indian issue that happened 2 years back.

It was our team shot at by extremists and we dont accuse or even think all or even a sizeable cut of Pakistanis are responsible, so why do you use that event for 'point scoring'? We hate the terrorists responsible - what has the common man done? It is idiocy. The world watches the news coming from your country.

You guys were idiots to tour so you got shot. if any of the other teams had gone they would have been shot. THat is not the point here. It is the point about how unsafe their country is. If you are so happy about Pakistan why not Srilanka again there?

We were not the first team to tour Pak since their troubles started. We were unlucky that some terrorists sought to attack us for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. But that is not the point - you are trying to ignore issues facing you by pointing to events in other countries. Then you are accusing the entire people of that action. How silly is that? If you can apply silly generalizations to others - why should you be immune to general statements about you? One day Lanka will tour Pakistan again. I am certain of it - may be a few years from now but phases of insecurity pass. We too had a five year sanction from 88-92 owing to terrorism - in 96 WC some teams didn't play their games in Lanka. Did we stop playing? No. From your language skills I can tell you are poorly educated. Try to think logically and expect the manner you approach others with to be how they receive you.

Our country Our issues. We deal with it. Did anyone interfere with your genocides , 1000s of rapes in your country? Did any of you give voice? Nope. Your army brutally raped the hapless Tamilians. So zip up . Educate yourself first before talking about education of others.

If you can deal with your issues alone, then we Lankans can fix our issues and Pakistanis can fix their own issues. As for education - have a look at your grammar, sentence structure, syntax and so on. It is poor and yet you have such pride in your position - even when shown logically that it is a silly POV to hold and espouse. Did you go to university in India? :giggle:

Have come across several Lungans in my life. None of the speak half decent English About the other post.. if you think like that why did you make a patronizing post sucking upto the other troll.
sweetaskandy Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 That was about 10000 times superior to your written English. :cantstop: Listen, you cannot blame all people in a country for the behaviour of idiots. Just as you don't want all Indians to be called rapists, you should afford others the same rational approach. You folks accuse all Lankans of x, all Pakistanis of y, Brits of z and want fairness for yourselves. Is that sane?

Unless you think with your ass you can't possibly come to that conclusion :finger: Secondly they made a movie about our "daughter" we reciprocated that courtesy with a video about their 'daughter' What is wrong with that. Your genocide would not have been a talking point if you had not thrust your giant butt into this conversation. Frankly your nation is a pile of poop nobody cares about. Only reason Srilanka has any relevance with Indians is because they play cricket and you have been our favorite whipping boys
sweetaskandy Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 The status of Lanka is not the issue. It is an issue of equality. Tarnishing others but seeking fairness for your own people. I just can't think like that. I am old enough to know each community has fools and sages. You will learn as you mature.
