vvvslaxman Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Tough luck padosis. But can they ever catch lol. Last time against India they dropped several dolies. This time 2.
Invasion 550 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 He he. What did I tell you? Law if averages will catch up and Sarfraz will be out for 10 runs. See what happened? Also you or your friends said sarfraz can hit Indian trundlers. Well good luck till 2019. Sarfraz did not even get to the stage where Dhoni can take care. You were right. :)
Guldozer Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 :hysterical: I'm sorry but these cannot be considered world class. Averages of 30 are not world class. How many bowlers does India have that averaged below 25 and then compare how many batsmen Pakistan have had with average of 50 and above. You will get your answer. Wonder why I never got a response.:giggle:
zen Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Wonder why I never got a response.:giggle: How is that even a criteria? Only Imran (who used to pick his games) and Wasim avg. less than 25 when leaving out matches vs. Zim and BD and min 50 tests. That leaves out Waqar as the world class bowler as well :haha: On the other hand, VVS avgs 46-47, but he is rated much higher than many of the Paki batsmen who avg 50+ :--D As I said - stats w/o context are pointless :P

At present, Indian bowling is perhaps performing better than Pakistani batting. But I'm confident that Pakistani batting will sort itself out soon with some youngsters being given a chance.

NO it doesn't .... because your criteria even fails to recognize Waqar as WC WC Pak batsmen - Miandad, Zaheer, Inzi, and MoYo .... others are ok WC Ind bowlers - Chandra, Parsana, Bedi, Venkat, Kumble, Kapil, Srinath, Zak, .... If the likes of a YK, we have a Bhajji

If the likes of a YK, we have a Bhajji Why exactly do we remove Zimbabwe and Bangladesh? All international bowlers play against them. Just like Tendulkar wouldn't have 100 centuries if you exclude Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. And the so called world class bowlers you have mentioned have never been labelled world class by anyone outside of India. At best Bedi can be considered world class. I haven't even heard the names of Chandra and Parsana. To label them world class is an insult to world class bowlers. Are they really in the same league as Wasim, Waqar, Imran and even Shoaib? I'm sorry but your standards for world class bowlers are very low.
Guldozer Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Indian bowling is perhaps better than the pathetic Pakistan batting line up? That's because Indian bowling has had 7 good games. They were getting thrashed for 2 months before that. Anyway, I thought I was delusional because I thought Pakistan could beat South Africa. Wonder why I didn't get a reply. If you are deluded enough to make big claims like that then at least have the manners to admit when you are wrong. You know, as Lala would say, have a 'big heart'.

And I forgot to include the likes of Subhash Gupte .... I guess you should get proper information before making big claims :hehe: Debate ends/

If you start labeling bowlers that average 35 as world class then how can you blame me lol. :haha: The fact that bowlers with an average of 35 are considered world class in India completely proves my point.

Chandra, Prasanna and Gupte all had better avgs (or about the same) when compared to Qadir, Mushy and Saqlain - and the latter trio are amongst Pakistan's best test bowlers. In fact, Ajmal has a better avg, but only by 1-2 runs. So, it goes on to show that, in terms of spin, not much to choose between them.

It's difficult to judge by stats alone though in my opinion. But some of the other names mentioned are laugh-worthy.

That is also debatable - Shah has played too few games, and the rest (Rehman and Ajmal) average around 29. And one of them is not strictly a bowler... more of a darter.
