My father was telling in 1987 India and Pakistan were the ones who were too hot to handle in the semis with our spinners. Look how that turned out. Come on guys, sure the Aussies are favourites but i dont get this defeatist attitude. Most of us did not expect India to beat Sa (myself included) but we won with a crushing margin. The way India have played thus far they have earned the right to make us believe.

Will be extremely happy if we manage to win this. We had never won a game v SA before this world cup.... I am just saying treat each game on its merit. Lets be frank Australia have been beaten by NZ. They were coasting along before one big collapse. Their bowling has been masked by Starc and his performances. Sri Lanka gave them a big scare with the bat. So its possible. This side is certainly not the side of 2003 and 2007 when they were dominant. Now they were sides you could rightly say were unbeatable. In the last few months we have, Lost 2 test matches against them and 1 ODI. In that 1 ODI we pushed them all the way. How exactly is this enough evidence? I would say that Indian team is different from the team which is front of us today. The bowling especially has stepped it up multiple gears. We will have a weeks rest and our pacers will be well rested.

amiret Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Aus are vastly superior and most likely to win once again but we can cause an upset. Problem is at SCG there is nothing for the bowlers. It is a 340 + pitch. Aus chased down 240 vs Eng in 40 overs and 275 vs SA. It will not be possible to defend any score less than 320.
