That is 8 years from now. I am glad we are hosting this world cup alone and not with anyone else. Come to think of it, I think it will be a time when our greats will be retiring all together in front of our home crowd. Imagine Kohli,Rohit, Rahane, Raina in 2023 all around 35 years of age, calling quits to ODI cricket to concentrate on test cricket :) Just thinking something out of the blue :) I am glad we are hosting the world cup by ourown.

There must be a revenue case of BCCI keeping % amount of money. you think hosting Scotland v Afghanistan anybody is going to turn up? Its best if we host it with SL and BD. Let these nations play their group games (barring India) in their countries.

Should have done that long time ago and not let ungrateful gits like Bangladeshis to piggy back on us and get WC hosting rights.Alone they wont get the hosting rights for even Gully Mohalla cricket.

We might not care about their team, but India is certainly where all these associate nations team love to play, it is the by far the bigest stage of cricket right now. Just like every gambler wants to be in Vegas, every small or big cricketer wants to play cricket in India once in his life or more. Things have changed. The whole cricketing world is attracted to INdia and wants to come to India and play cricket and do well.

I was mad when they got to host the opening ceremony. It was piece of crap event and they kept saying "joy banglo" whole ceremony. Biggest piece of crap I ever witnessed.
