vvs_Sree Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 yes.. its always nice to watch left arm fast bowlers in action. Akram, vaas, zaheer, nehra, johnson, starc, boult... all of them played major role in taking their team to world cup finals..
Ultimate_Game Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Nope. Irfan started playing ranji and has consistently picked 1-3 wickets and made 20-50 runs in last few matches. He could replace Binny.I hope he does well for CSK in IPL and get picked for World T20 and ODI team. He could bring in left arm pace variation and big match temperament. Irfan can no longer be termed fast. He became a trundler a few years back and struggles to touch even 120 kph. However if he can regain his mojo and swing the ball at mid 130s the way he used to do early in his career, he should be brought back.
vvs_Sree Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Wahab riaz did it for Pak. irfan can improve his speed. england conditions will suit him.
cowboysfan Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I think we have a great shot at the next world cup in england, the conditions should suit our bowlers but we need 2 new spinners in the next 4 years.
MK55 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I hope we don't choose a left arm trundler just for the sake of filling a slot. Left arm fast bowlers have done well in the WC but they all are class bowlers.

Akash_Cric Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 We need more players from Punjab to win. Stop the racism and Get Sandeep Sharma in place of Shami and Gurkeerat Singh and Jiwanjot Singh in the top order than watch as we win every match. Also groom Gitnash Khera as replacement for Dhoni as future WK..
BeautifulGame Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 So in conclusion 1) We need an all rounder who is a good finisher and power hitter 2) Need a Left arm Fast bowler for variety 3) Need a middle bat at 4 or 5 who can be better @ strike rotation and power hitting. Hopefully there are few solutions after this year's IPL
Akash_Cric Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 So in conclusion 1) We need an all rounder who is a good finisher and power hitter Harbhajan Singh 2) Need a Left arm Fast bowler for variety Pradeep Sangwan 3) Need a middle bat at 4 or 5 who can be better @ strike rotation and power hitting. Gurkeerat Singh(a handy off spinner as well as an amazing Batsman) Hopefully there are few solutions after this year's IPL Answers in bold. Stop the regional bias and Get these guys as well as the ones mentioned before and we are set.

Barring the PAK match, there was nothing noteworthy of Nehra's performance during the 2011 WC. He wasn't even in the starting 11 in most matches. Zak had a decent outing but he had year's of experience and cant be compared with some Ranji left armers that we have got now. Obviously the spinners and our batters played a crucial role during our campaign And there have been changes in the rules. 2 new balls and the field restrictions. Teams can no longer afford to accommodate bits and pieces bowlers in their side.
MK55 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 The only way we can include a left armer is if he's a proven hitter at the death who is also decent against the quicks. I don't think we have got any left armers who are good enough to be selected as a bowler.

vipin Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 1: Rohit 2: Dhawan 3: Kohli 4: Dhoni 5: Raina 6: Glen Maxwell 7: Jadeja's explosive lil brother 8: James Faulkner 9: Ashwin 10: Shami 11: Yadav This is the team we'd ideally want to have. Hence, its clear what replacements we need.
tweaker Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Who is the most explosive young batsman who can open the inning or can bat at no 6 position in the domestic cricket
