Australia A is going to tour India for 4 day test & odi.Indian selectors should choose those players who have high chances to make it to senior team
When is that?

Missed my point.I am not saying Faulkner deserves to be in test team but should have given a few days to enjoy winning world cup rather than feeling disappointed by not making Ashes squad The Ashes is 3-4 months away so no need to announce it just a day after winning the world cup. Could have announced next week
another reason for the early announcement is to keep the English engaged in needless planning..

England IMO will be more than happy to see this Aussie ashes team. There are a lot of oldies in the playing 11. The tests are going to be back to back. Australia will need good backup for Johnson and Harris in the pace department. At the same time I am pretty sure that Clarke will not make it through a 5 test series.

Yes its a creaking ancient team. Must be the oldest in test cricket currently. They will struggle in eng conditions as usual. The fact that Alcohol Ahmed is the back up spinner shows the sign of the desperate times.

So Ashes XI Warner Rogers Smith Clarke Voges Marsh Haddin Johnson Harris Hazlewood / Starc Lyon Hope they dont choose Watson in the XI.
I don't mind Watson playing, but not at 3, should be moved to 5 or even 6.

I think this will be the swan song of a few of the elder statesmen, I expect this to be Watson-Harris and Haddins last series, enormous pressure will be on Clarke if has a poor series as well.

Well that's Australia for you .. They are not going to sit and bask in the glory of the world cup and instead are already focused on the next few test series. If it this was an Asian country their would be victory parades and tours for a month :giggle:

say what you may about Anderson. In English conditions and the red ball he provides England with the twin options of (A) wicket taking bowling (B) bowling long spells. Plugging away at about 83-84 and bowling 30 overs a day means he takes wickets and the load of the other bowlers. The rest of the English pacers i thought got away against India as a result of Anderson and out dumbness against Ali. These two effectively meant some english bowlers got away with terrible performances.

batting is light as usual but they do bat deep,it'll be interesting to see how warner, smith, voges fare against broad and anderson. it'll be best for windies to prepare flat pitches with some spin on offer for benn to exploit

England are a basket case ATM, they were thrashed 5 nill by us in the last Ashes and they've just embarrassed themselves in the WC, I'm expecting another hammering, 4 or 5 nill IMO.

Yes you must be really happy for Usman and Fawad.
I'm happy for any SC player to make it into the elite ranks in Australia, God knows there's enough of them in the lower levels, every second umpire you see at club level of SC origin as well. Kwajha (spelling?) has batted at 3 for Australia, but that didn't last long, pretty sure he imigrated from Pakistan, I can't think of another one though.

I'll actually take it a step further, club cricket in Melbourne and Sydney would be in a lot of trouble if it wasn't for SC migrants.

Apart from Aboriginies all Australians are migrants, for the last time I'm of Irish and English origin, not sure why you guys are so obsessed with nationality for, why does it matter?

so is voges the best batsman in domestic right now? was looking forward to some new players break -in but Rogers is a English specialist and Haddin did so well in the last ashes. Not sure also is SIddle still has got it

I doubt we'll see the likes of Siddle again, we'd need to have a heap of injuries, Lehman wants his quicks to maintain speeds of 140 or higher, or atleast high 130s, Siddle was struggling to hit 130 not long ago.
