Khalpat Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 1. Good Friday is not celebrated; it is observed. 2. Yes, it was a holiday for me because stock markets were closed. 3. Didn't do much on the long weekend; thanks for asking. The point is not whether Good Friday should be a holiday or not. If you ask me all holidays should simply be added to vacation days, left at the discretion of the person to take whenever. The point is Good Friday is a holiday in India. To call working meetings on a holiday unless there is urgency is unprofessional. When such things happen with Christmas and Good Friday, there is a not so hidden agenda. The reason why I am amazed by this holiday is , out of 21 students in my daughter's class I know 5 of them including ofcourse my daughter who celebrate Chatt Pooja but their is no holiday for this festival and none of them observe Good Friday but still it is a holiday. Strange is our holiday calendar, my manager, Mr Pandey opted for Resticted Holiday in India to observe Good Friday but the manager at Client site in NJ, Mr Martin was working.

Also who set up this meeting? it looks like people are labeling CJI as communal.

This is a clear example of how propaganda works.
