His irresponsible comments should be condemned. I think Shiv Sena has been rattled by BJP rise in Maharashtra and so they are being forced to make these sort of comments(also the Shobha De Marathi film controversy) to appeal to the middle class Marathi Hindu voters who have shifted to BJP.

In maharashtra if the vote is polarised then Owaisi and Sena benefit the most. Those in the middle BJP Congress NCP all lose out. A dangerous game no doubt.

Texan Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 It is pretty clear that Shiv Sena wants to position itself (if there was any ambiguity at all) as the far right. BJP is hardly a core right wing party. At most, BJP can be defined as slightly right of center on both social as well as economic policies. There are tons and tons of left wing, left of center parties. What our political spectrum has a paucity of is far right parties. Shiv Sena is possibly the only far right party of any significance in India. Not saying that we must have far right parties. For the matter, we don't even need far left parties. But, if there is an audience for the far right, then SS wants to ensure that they capture it and that they take away those that would traditionally vote for the BJP.

I am not sure what would be the message when a party which is part of running government of country issues such statement.
