The Afghanistan national cricket team is seeking a home ground in neighbouring India, a top official has said. The nation's president Ashraf Ghani has been asked to push for assistance for the side, who cannot play in their war-ravged home for security reasons, Nasimullah Danish, the Afghanistan Cricket Board president, said. "Unfortunately, we have not got as much assistance from India as we should have," Danish told new agency AFP. "I don't know why, but maybe the BCCI has got other things on its mind," he said, referring to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

neibhouring India? in the neighbourhood maybe... Mumbai should step in IMO. The city has 3 major cricket grounds (Brabourne Wankhede and Dy Patil) and 2 minor cricket grounds (Dadojee kondev and BKC) Let them play at BKC

Government of India should step in here. BCCI won't do anything unless it fills their coffers with a filthy amount of dollars. Unfortunately, a lot more is at stake here than just $$. It could be used as a wonderful diplomatic tool to connect with the Afghani people. I suggest we should bring this to the attention of our foreign affairs ministry.

most of BCCI is bjp controlled....if they make it a foreign affairs issue then it will be pushed through.

Afghans should be allowed to utilize these facilities, Govt. of India and many private companies want good relationship with Afghanistan, this will make much more fans in Afghanistan after the roads and schools projects completed by India in Afghanistan.

Because India has far more resources than these two countries combined.

They should use proper channels - I.e diplomatic ones and not BCCI. Indian Govt paying money for stadium in Kabul and on the other hand, BCCI doesn't want Afghanistan to play cricket.
