swatpulla Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Here's the Earthquake risk zone map for India and World -
swatpulla Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Assam Oh dear... just pretend that you didn't see the map from the post above. :--D
swatpulla Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 As I did some more research, I read that after Japan, Nepal and India second and third most earthquake prone regions in the world, majorly because of Indian plate moving at the rate of 47 mm/year. So while that keeps HImalayas climbing higher, it also screws us when it comes to earthquakes.

Sachin=GOD Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Any chances of aftershocks in MP? Been outside since last hour. Aftershocks usually come for around 1-2 hours after the main one. Hopefully there won't be more aftershocks but it can't be ruled out for some more time.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 The original one was a richtar scale 6 in UP/BIHAR - that's very serious considering it went for around 1 min .
swatpulla Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Any chances of aftershocks in MP? Been outside since last hour. Friends from Nepal informed me that they are expecting aftershocks within 1 hour. Can aftershocks be stronger?
