sourab10forever Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Depends more on the kind of atmosphere you around. With no family presseure and non vegetarian friends/cousins around, most would atleast try. If u lonely and one of those geeky guys who believe that something bad would happen if u break the rules, then u will remain veggies forever even without parent pressure.
Cricketics Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Don't really feel anything for either group but I can't stand when people feel and say "veggie people miss out on some delicacies." Let me put it this way, there are certain things which veggies like to eat in style but often would or could feel that they only wish that non veggies could understand how well a particular dish could be cooked and prepared and eaten. In my family(which consist of mostly non veggies and me and brother being only veggie), and in most veggie families, they have some incredible veggie dishes, from unheard sabzis to 15 different types of dals, which have ran across from generations, prepared by the ancestors in our family and the trend of those dishes still continue as we cook those dishes still in our house. Honestly let me put it this way, we all feel so much for the game of cricket and often feel that those who don't like cricket or watch, are missing something. Well those people have their own source of enjoyment. Some are into music and some just prefer other sports. It is imperitive for non veggies to not pity or feel sad for veggies as we are satisified with the amount of delicacies we have. It is just matter of what we like.
maniac Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Why do people have to feel sorry for veggies......Hipsters rubbing in their Vegan and Veg lifestyle are as annoying as Non-veggies trying to rubbing it in. Also I observes this as a trend mostly among Pakis and some Indians, trying to construct some kind of a superiority because they eat Non-Veg food....mostly no one cares,You eat whatever you want or like. Yeah you can bring such debates when some wannabe hippie tries to rub his vegan lifestyle in your face...else who cares

I see this a lot among pakiis and indians they act as if they are physically superior to people who are veg eaters only. I eat both non veg and veg. I like them both. Both are tasty and nutritious in their own way
coffee_rules Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I have tasted everything...will eat what pleases me, in private. I chose to veg with family. Don't want to be selfish and hurt their feelings. I don't have any thing against veggies (who I was once). I am hypocrite to feel bad for inhuman treatment of animals in slaughter houses, but dont want to think about them while eating, as they are already organic food. I don't want to choose a live animal get it killed in front of me and eat it. What's the difference Veggies ask? But, that's life we can feel bad for some, but have moral and ethical preference over another.

I mean veggies definitely are missing out whether its a good thing or bad thing is debateable but they are non veg eat both veg and meat and hence have a better perspective. no one is veg because veg tastes better. that much is certain. its either moral, religious or cultural reasons
HippoSucks Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I mean veggies definitely are missing out whether its a good thing or bad thing is debateable but they are non veg eat both veg and meat and hence have a better perspective. no one is veg because veg tastes better. that much is certain. its either moral, religious or cultural reasons I know many people who have tried both and have genuinely preferred vegetarian food. Of course that doesn't mean that they don't eat non-vegetarian food at all now but I know a handful who are thoroughly disgusted by the taste (without any moral conflicts).

I thought you were genuinely asking but despite all the replies you got,you are still acting up'
maniac Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I think you are a proud Andhra guy ' date= but not sure. Substitute meat with carrot in hyderabadi biriyani, even a hungry dog wont taste it. Meat adds additional flavors and taste. I myself is a non regular non vegetarian. Take meat once or twice in a month. What the hell is that supposed to mean :haha: ANyways FYI...people from Hyderabd just don't live on Biryani or some variations of it
BeautifulGame Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I had seen you supporting Rayudu because he is from andhra. So i thought you might know the taste of biriyani which he likes. U fell for IPL trolling :cantstop:
Cricketics Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Non-veg guys take everything that a veg guys take. Sinple logic, if someone is missing something it has to be veggies I mean veggies definitely are missing out whether its a good thing or bad thing is debateable but they are non veg eat both veg and meat and hence have a better perspective. no one is veg because veg tastes better. that much is certain. its either moral, religious or cultural reasons Kaha na. We don't feel the need or feel that we are missing on any food. Transform this to real life situation. A bhikari is feeling sad for you that you have to go to office to earn money, where as he is able to just go and the street and beg for few hours a week to make living.
Cricketics Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I strongly disagree. Ask any punjabi, he Will prefer butter chicken over butter paneer. My other point is pretty Simple. Non-veg guys take both veg and non-veg food. So they are not missing anything. Here, I am pakka Punjabi who lived all his life in either Delhi or Punjab. My family, my mom side and dad side both have 90% Non Vegetarians. I have friends who hae lived all their life in Punjab, whether it be Hindu or Sikh, they are vegetarian by choice. These are people who love to drink and stuff but still prefer Vege food.

I thought you were genuinely asking but despite all the replies you got,you are still acting up' no iw as genuinely asking im saying that for most ppl that is the impression. esp non vegs. I mean isn't it a fact that veggies are missing out on non veg food? I mean that's a statement of fact. Missing out doesn't mean missing out on sth awesome or sth bad. but if you have never had non veg then how can yo u say you aren't missing out?
AmreekanDesi Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 Kaha na. We don't feel the need or feel that we are missing on any food. yes. that is fine if you have tried non veg but for ppl who haven't tried meat how can they determine they are or are not missing out? I mean how can you say that veg food tastes better for you if you haven't tried the other thing?
Tiger80 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 What if west has been vegetarians and indians as ravenous meat eaters. Progressive liberals would have called indian culture having no value of life UN has been passing resolution world to stop eating animals , educated people in India would have been very proud about leaving meat .There would have several demands from many liberals to curtail killing of animals for food
