IITM allows political discussions and has recognized the student group which has been a political discussion group.So unless the dean explains how they the particular session/speech is inflammatory how have they have violated the IIT codes?What are all rules were violated by the students group, What's the finding of enquiry. Any parameters the institution has to determine violation.Nothing made known to the Student group.Just send a mail derecognizing them without even seeking explanation.Is this how they sack in UK if u dont follow their protocol. The problem is whether the dean acted independently without any pressure . When the HRD ministry forwards anonymous letters seeking explanation and then a student organization is banned hurriedly without even seeking explanation it creates doubt over the so called process Is religion same as politics ? Why is religion being dragged in to politics. Would it be ok if people name Islam as religion which breeds extremism ? Would it be ok if christaians are painted as evangelists ? If such pamphlets are distributed would it be ok ?

If anything action should be taken against the faculty adviser instead of stifling the content. For free speech just also include Criticism of Periyar, Ambedkar and plenty of demi gods of regional people.This type of free speech will start communal linguistic and regional riots, so much better it should be curtailed

Yeah, the parties opposing are opposed to free speech. But that should have nothing to do with discussing this incident in its own context. There are numerous anti-BJP and anti-Modi people who are opposed to other previous bans like that on Rushdie. What's the relevance of bringing up such things to them which they are opposed to in the first place. Is it deliberately obfuscation of this topic or simple idiocy?

Why dont these nutcases follow that path of his. Discuss, what Ambedkar really wanted and how far the Indian society has travelled on that path, instead of attacking Hinduism.
