rkt.india
The temporary ban seems like just a slap on the wrist. What about the sealed envelope which has names of players/officials involved in fixing? Will its contents ever be revealed? It would have been harsher if fixing had been proved. Envelope thing was also investigated and it came out that Srinivasan didn't interfere in investigation. Link to comment
Zero_Unit
what will happen to the players playing for those 2 franchises? Would they all be released and be picked by other franchises or they too are stuck with the 2 years ban aswell? Link to comment
G_B_
looking at the comments, i think the BCCI will basically fun the franchises on their own. like for 2 years there will be a "chennai franchise" and a "rajasthan franchise" Link to comment
Marut
So' date=' you want them to go to jail for betting. Kundra and mayyapan have been banned for life.[/quote'] Not necessarily. A heavy fine could do as well. If you are indulging in these practices from a responsible position as team owner, a simple ban isn't enough. For a cricketer, I can see how a ban for life could be a heavy punishment in itself. But for these millionaires who are into the game purely for money, a ban is nearly no punishment at all, and they would simply move to safer havens now. Link to comment
coffee_rules
Can they ban Mallya for life just for the heck of it? Link to comment
asterix
So IPL governing body bought time in taking any action on CSK & RR? :(( Link to comment
Ironhide
Can they ban Mallya for life just for the heck of it? What's the use? Now Mallya himself is powerless with him having just 5% share in the company which owns RCB, he can be kicked out anytime by Diageo, they were also in talks with Jindal of JSW group to sell RCB. Ironhide
So IPL governing body bought time in taking any action on CSK & RR? :(( What action? BCCI has already said they will follow through Supreme Court orders, Raj Kundra and Meiyappan are banned for life. CSK and RR have been suspended for two years, now BCCI is just working out how to maintain 8 teams for next year IPL by adding two more teams. Link to comment
Precambrian
Can they ban Mallya for life just for the heck of it? He's a nobody now. Thank god, at least the public displays of affection between his son and his (paid) girl friend actress has come to a close. Link to comment

These crooks get away way too easily in India. Link to comment
SLICKR392
people should stop watching this sham. this has caused terrible damage to talent production in india. -Made the board financially stronger -Produced some good players too -Fun to watch (I enjoy it and at the same time wake up at 4 AM to watch us play a Test match) Link to comment
