This 22 year old is as brutal as Jayasuriya, Gilchrist, Sehwag etc but more pleasing to the eye. IMO the greatest talent to have come out of Bangladesh and someone who is going to set the cricketing world on fire in the coming years. Was also brilliant against England and NZ in CWC 2015. Privilege to watch him bat :hatsoff: He would make it to most international sides the way he is batting these days.

Are Bangladeshi domestic matches played on difficult tracks or is he one of those who gets bored batting against weak opposition like Viru? His test stats as well as first class numbers are pretty rubbish. May be Bangladesh need to do what India did with Sehwag in 2002. Send Sarkar as an opener and who knows may be he might become a different beast in that format too. Age is on his side and his inexperience is a valid excuse. Take good care of him dear neighbors, you have a super star in your team.

Have you seen our own Shewag? Like he has any batting skills. See ball, hit ball. For some players it just works out. Regardless it is a great start for his career.

This kid Saumya looks good, but it could easily be the case of a mediocre batsman having good couple of months.

Like I said before, this kid is pretty much see ball, hit ball but just looks good while hitting them out of the ground. Either way, he barely played 15 international matches. Such a long carreer left to judge him.

But people are unnecessarily hyping him up as some aesthetically accomplished player or somebody who is technically extremely gifted. It doesn't look like the case. His shots nowhere as beutiful as Ganguly used to play.

Regardless it is a great start for his career.[/quote'] Shewag is a freak of nature , he could see the ball and hit the ball cos of his amazing hand eye coordination . its rediculous to give virus example for every batsmen who lacks technique & its not just technique but his shots are cross batted whic is somthing which cannot be corrected
