Book_Worm Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Reminds me of how visitors from india are taken aback by the comparatively visible cleanliness and the general aesthetics including little details like the dressing sense and the personal grooming ' date=' read up on that too for a broader perspective :icflove:[/quote'] U are going off track here. personal groming etc is fine. I thought we were talking about development and social indicators like gender equality.
swatpulla Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 U are going off track here. personal groming etc is fine. I thought we were talking about development and social indicators like gender equality. Exactly, this is what the debate should have been about. Anyways, below are my points to the topic and why I consider Indian cities superior - Unlike Pakistani cities, we actually have electricity. Pakistani cities are not as efficiently connected with public transport. India on the other hand boasts of world class metros having an extensive coverage. Pakistan has Railways that is on it's death-bed. Ours is infintely better. Our Airports and stations are class apart. As for gender equality, when you visit an Indian city, you witness progressive, educated and confident girls everywhere. In Pakistan however, this is a rare sight.
the don Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Just Sikkim has more beautiful landscapes than entire Pakistan. India too has beautiful places , don't get defensive friends .

If you see pics from other NE states, Kashmir, Himachal, etc or some of our beautiful Islands, you might faint. Pak has a few OK places and it is fine that you are proud of them. The problem comes when you try to pass them off as better than places in India.

Kalia_Test Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 It is a bit embarrassing for me to post this but what the heck. Even the rocky deccan plateau on which my hometown Hyderabad sits also has a tiny hill station called Anantagiri hills. Even this is better than many places in Pak Araku Valley near Vizag ( Andhra Pradesh ) - beautiful train journey through 50 odd tunnels from Vizag The mighty river Godavari at Rajahmundry
swatpulla Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 MashaAllah fellow Indians, dishing out some real phaintaa... :cantstop: Munar by the way is beautiful. The whole Munar-Allepey rasta was breathtaking landscape. (that kashmir to kanyakumari song was shot there if I am correct)
