Having seen Indian batsmen dominate spin in the past i can't help but notice the frailties of the modern Indian bat against a half decent spinner , yes there are a few good players of spin still but nothing like the times when spin was not even a major factor vs India .What's going wrong ??

The current A team , I actually rate them better than our main side wrt playing spin . Karun , Pandey & Yadav have extremely good footwork against spin . Karun specifically .

Yes, the whole game in general has shifted towards power-game and Indian players seem to give priority to that style.

Because of the paucity of quality domestic spinners in our country. If we had the likes of Kanwaljit Singh (who never played for India), he'd probably be more successful than Ojha and Mishra, if not Ashwin.
