In SA series we'll play in home conditions so I'd pick tried & tested ones. Openers:-Vijay,Dhawan,Rahul. Middle order:-Pujara,Kohli,Rahane,Rohit(last chance for him if he plays else Nair shd replace him.) Keeper/Bat:-Saha. Spinners:-Ashwin,Mishra,Akshar. Seamers:-Ishant,Umesh,BK,Aaron/Shami

First XI:- Dhawan Vijay Pujara Kohli Rahane Saha(wk) Ashwin BK/Akshar(based on the track) Mishra Ishant Umesh. This team looks balanced with 5 specialist bowlers, specialist keeper, openers & decent depth in batting with Mishra ji at no. 9.

Vijay Dhawan/Rahul Pujara Kohli Rahane Saha Ash Mishy Bhuvi Ishant Yadav
If Shami is fit, I'd have him in place of Yadav and Ishant. Similarly, on genuine turners, Axar/P. Ojha may get a look in - the 3rd spinner needs to be primarily accurate and hold an end up. Btw, even with you order, juggling is reqd: Bhuvi and Ash must swamp batting positions.

I will never go for 5 bowlers in subcontinent coz one seem-er will be under bowled.Openers are the ones who can play in all conditions we cant play dhawan in indian and then replace with rahul abroad Vijay rahul pujara kohli rahane dhawan saha ashwin mishra ishant shami

At the moment depending on fitness concerns our best line up is Vijay Dhawan Pujara Kohli Rahane Rahul Saha Ashwin Mishra Shami Yadav Will see how our aggressive team management goes .Probably replace Vijay Pujara and Rahul with Rohit , Binny and Raina based on the ODI series against SA

I don't think hurrying Shami directly to the international line up is a smart decision. And I' d have it in this order Ash Bhuvi Mishra

Ashwin is a genuine tailender now. Including the Aus tour, he has averaged 15 in the last 7 matches (with 1 50). Just how is that better than BK who actually cares about batting and placing a price on his wkt?

Rushing Shami straightaway will be bad for the team as well as for Shami. He must play a few domestic matches first because he has been out for quite some time. Also from whatever I have seen of him, the more he bowls the better he gets. Won't be bad idea to get many overs under his belt before his comeback. What do you say about team composition bro? I think we need to have 6 specialist bats+Saha. 4 bowlers will be enough IMO. We need some extra cushion in the batting dept because RSA can blow us away in one session when on fire. Also we need 400s/500s to beat them, 280-320 is just not good enough against the best test team in the world.

Yes, 6 bats is necessary unless we somehow miraculously unearth a batting allroudner (perhaps like Vijay Shankar in the future).
