kosingh
Talent is all that counts. And to the think tank, talent is simply the ability to play gorgeous shots. If those gorgeous shots come between embarrassing shots, frequent lapses in concentration, inability to grind it out for long periods......who cares? Link to comment
Anitha
Too often Indians have gone for mediocrity over sheer natural talent. No wonder we have never dominated the game. We are a nation obsessed with plodders and hard workers in every line of work. And the result? We get a long line of mediocrity who know how to plod their way to a boring score. Where are our true gems? Where are the match-winners like Razzak, Afridi who can turn the matches on their head in a few balls? Should we go for players like Pujara, Rahane, Dravid, who bore us to death while being clinical? No, not anymore. A new era dawns for Indian cricket under an aggressive captain. This is the era of raw talent who are poised to dominate the world. I do not care if we lose every match for the next two years just to groom Rohit's natural flair and talent. Because those are the building blocks on which India's new era will be built, an era where we will dominate every team for years to come. This will be an era of fearless batsmen and natural flair, not one build on mediocrity like Pujajra Aggressive batsmen like Rohit, aggressive bowlers like Aaron/Yadav, aggressive fielders like Rahane, Kohli's mantra is clear and I support it 100%. Every Indian should too. Link to comment
Marut
Does Rohit visit ICF? He must be in seventh heaven if he does so, now that there is a section for defending his game in a well coordinated and intellectual manner. Link to comment

Anitha
Rohit Sharma in this series 9 , 4 , 79 , 34 , 26 = 154 Pujara 135* (touch wood) beat that Rohit's competition is not with Pujara or Bradman or anyone else. Like all true geniuses, his conflict is with himself. Puara etc might be able to produce coal on a regular basis but geniuses like Rohit can produce diamonds on his day. But like every temperamental genius, Rohit needs time and patience Link to comment
