NareshK
^^Dude, what's wrong with you ? Why are you calling Kohli a choker ? He was the highest run scorer in international games in the world this year and he smashed 130 odd when India was chasing 330 against Sri Lanka and 189 chasing against Pakistan in a do or die game in Asia Cup. He also top scored against Pakistan in World T20 game among many other knocks. Does that sound like a choker to you or are you just plain jealous ? :hehe: Link to comment
Lord
Even Yuvraj played on the basis of his talent for 5 years without being justifying his place. BS.he produced many top innings like Natwest final,WC 2003 v Pakis n England, ton in Aus etc.Rohit isnt even close Link to comment

Lord
Rohit performance in cb series final' date='World t20 final,MOS vs WI twice.[/quote'] even Uthappa performed in T20.as for CB series yet,he showed talent then n was rightly hyped.but hasnt done anything afterwards.hence the disssapointment. MOS v mighty West Indies wen we played a depleted team?what an effort:hail: Link to comment

What series are u talking about .Rohit was also MOS in india where only dhoni, yuvi were missing. Link to comment

R.D forever
even ashwin looks better than rohit now. Rohit sharma is considered talented just because he plays some pleasing cover drives and is very good to watch. Dunno when are we going to stop giving repeated chances to players like nohit and vijay just because they are "talented" ( read- good to watch ) Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Even a donkey wud select rohit over reliable rahane......rahane is steady and Rohit does not have the temparament to suceed at international level..... Do u guys know how many failures he has had Link to comment
diga
In his 86 ODI innings, he has been dismissed for less than 10, 28 times.. ie close to 32% & less than 20 , 38 times - ie 45% & his strike rate is a dravidesque 78 & at an avg of 30 ps: For somebody batting low down the order he has 16 notouts, which further boosts his avg. If you just take the simple avg = total runs/num_innings, then the avg plummets to 24 Link to comment
Old guy
he is almost as bad as ishant sharma Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Great analysis.....that means 78 percent below 20..22 percent higher than 20..... ...its good enuf for a no 8 batsman who is a full time bowler...... A Kapil dev used to average 30 as a batsman in ODi "s and was a opening strike bowler....his batting average was more than Rohit......this is stupid that he plays for india as a batsman Link to comment

There are about 7 innings where he has scored less than 20, but remained notout which are excluded from this analysis If you want to look at other way, the number of innings above 35 (both notouts & dismissed) is only 20 in about 80 odd innings where he has got to bat, ie a success rate of only 1 in 5 innings Link to comment
ganeshran
Rohit Sharma is class....third class Link to comment
VRV Singh
he is class player but extremely unlucky. If lightening struck one out of million people and Sharma happen to be there, I have no doubt in my mind that person will be sharma. Another unlucky Sharma :woot: Link to comment

Choked against Australia and SA, the two most important matches. Never scored a 50 in an ODI tournament final. Never manages to take his team to the finals of a tri-series tournament. Plays brilliant knocks in the 11th hour which are of no use. Link to comment
