BlueBee Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Binny shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Dhoni should retire, it's high time. Young players like Gurkeerat, Iyer, Pandya, Agarwal should be played in place of useless douchebags like Binny and Bhuvi.
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Like it or not, Binny and Rayudu are getting an extended audition for the #5/6 slot. I personally don't think either belongs there, but can't fault the methodology. Once there, a player should get a proper run to see if they can do the job. The Gurkeerats and Pandyas will get their chance, and when they do, the usual suspects on ICF will be baying for their scalp after a handful of games and over-hyping the Vijay Zols and Sarfraz fatmeds of the world.
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 And you want to get rid of Bhuvi? Brilliant logic. Is it because he isn't phaast enough to satisfy your small-d!ck ego? Sorry for lashing out, but am annoyed with a loss in a winnable game and can't stand the immature nonsense I'm seeing on ICF without reacting.
CG Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 The rot started from drones move to save ashwin after he took a wicket. If dhoni is not going to play 2019 wc i do not see why is he playing these odis.

New guy Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Dhoni seems to be the biggest filler. No intent. The team lacks spine under him. Defensive moves do not an aggressive team make

It's about finding right guys. If you give chances to right guys, no one will complain.
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Dhoni seems to be the biggest filler. No intent. The team lacks spine under him. Defensive moves do not an aggressive team makeIf Phaast-man Yadav does slightly better than leaking for 34 runs in his last 2 overs, we win this game. Compare that to a Saffer newbie bowler like Rabada, who conceded single digits per over in his last 2. Thats where India lost the game. Fans are getting sucked into confirmation bias to fit their pre-game beliefs. Come on ICFers, do better than that. CricketBuffOne 1
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 It's about finding right guys. If you give chances to right guys, no one will complain.Agreed 100%. But how do you know whether someone is right? I think Binny is a domestic level player and lacks international class - but that is a fan's opinion, not an insider's. At the end of the day, how many opportunities has Binny got to bat for Team India in ODIs? Like it or not, he has shown batting ability and can hit big as well. Let's give him a series or 2. Let him get 4-5 chances with the bat, ideally a couple before the 40th over so that its clear whether he has the goods or not. CricketBuffOne 1

Dhoni and Binny batted shit.

Rabada bowled length balls in the final over, abdv or nohit would have hammered him all over the ground.Dhoni and Binny were batting like headless chickens out there.Dhoni scored just one boundary in 30 odd deliveries in the final 10 overs, that is ridiculously poor.even yadav and booby would have defended 11 off the final over if they were bowling to Dhoni and Binny Mosher 1
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 You are talking like Rabada bowled something great. He was lucky that Rohit got out. Dhoni and Binny batted shit. Not really. He was average. And you are right, Dhoni and Binny failed to connect - you would righly expect them to do so on a home pitch against not that great a ball. But my point was, "Yadaaav" or however he spells it these days, was so much worse. Think about it - 34 runs in 2 overs. Should you not expect better than that from a frontline bowler? OK, the "great" ABDV takes him for a few, but giving up 14 in 3 to Farshyte Barhadien? Did you watch that spell? Did it look like Umesh was doing anything other than running in and just putting it out there? In those 12 balls, did he get a single yorker or bouncer right? Or cramp the batsman for room? Bottomline is, we lost the game by 1 boundary and our bowlers served up way too many boundary opportunities to a professional batting duo, who promptly executed and cashed in. But all I hear is - Dhoni $ucks, he's too slow, he's too defensive, blah blah. CricketBuffOne 1
rkt.india Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 It was a batting pitch, you expect 300 on Indian pitches more often than not. Yadav tried all, bowled a yorker which went for 4, a slow ball that went for 6. Not every day, you will get yorkers right. Mosher 1
tweaker Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Time is over for Dhoni,he should go now,What the selectors are doing by selecting Harbhajan again & again.Instead they should take some risk & select youngsters

Out of 12 balls in the end of the saffer innings, how many do you think Umesh yadav executed correctly? Its not the runs that were given is the issue - runs can even go when an edge flies through empty slip etc. Its what he bowled. CricketBuffOne 1

sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Still 300 was chaseable.Agree 110%, especially for out batting @ home. That's why I'm annoyed a bit. It was a very winnable game that went south with 3 untimely dismissals - Rahane, Kohli and Rohit. Raina cant be blamed, he had to go for it from ball one. Did not see the Rahane wicket but the other 2 were pretty soft dismissals. I'm sure both those guys feel disappointed with themselves. And Dhoni too wasn't able to find the timely boundary apart from that scoop. It looked like that stomach injury was really hampering him though.

If he had not taken those wickets we would have probably been chasing 350. If you have blame someone blame Binny for giving 20 odd runs in an over.

And again, dont mean to be overly harsh on Umesh - point I'm trying to make is that crucifying Dhoni for today's loss is inaccurate - India lost the game in last 5 overs of the saffer innings, coupled with the dismissals of Kohli and Rohit. Yes, Raina and Dhoni failed to finish, but they are not the reasons we lost. And just because India lacks 140k plus bowlers doesn't mean we hold Umesh to a lower standard. Doesn't mean he should be dropped. Nothing against him, but its not as if this was his 5th or 6th ODI in home conditions. He is expected to be better than he was today, thats the point.

So let's ignore that as soon as a wicket fell and AB came to the crease, Dhoni removed his strike bowler and allowed AB easy runs to settle downLet's ignore all the tactical mistakes made by DhoniLet's ignore that game was easily winnable even in the last few overs for us and should be won Let's ignore all the 101 factors which happens in every game under Dhoni and let's just blame some runs given in the death which happens even to the best bowlers! Do you know that in recent times Indian death bowling was the BEST in the world in ODIs? They are bound to have an off dayI love the fact that instead of focusing on the chronic problem, you are blaming one off day by the bowler. Here's an idea, next time the opposition crosses 300, we should give a walkover as according to you team has already lost! Mosher 1
