Here are my picks : 1. Best Cricket Poster : Ravi, for his detailed technical cricketing posts, wish he was posting more often. Sailesh, another one of the missing posters who used to post quite often early in the year and extremely gifted poster. Dhondy, for igniting fire into this place whenever there is a lull and keeping the enthusiasm level right up there with his hard hitting posts. 2. Best GD Poster : Lurker, just look at any of his posts. He draws from a reservoir of experience in life and presents it beautifully. Always look forward to reading his posts. CC, another very intelligent though short tempered poster whose enthusiasm can never seen to be flagging. fineleg, a recent addition, but on dull days when nothing is happening anywhere and the forum is drawing in its last breaths, trust him/her to keep things going. 3. Best Statistician : Bossbhai, the obvious first choice. Dhondy for his skillful use of numbers to present his ideas, and also apocalypse for his enthusiastic work to present stats. 4. Best Cameraman : It would be a tie between Rajeev and Cricketics, one for the time he spends preparing custom highlights and the other for the speed with which a dismissal, a boundary, anything exciting is uploaded. 5. Best Humorous Poster : This is a really tough one. The one thing on which ICF is incomparable is on humous. I know I'll be doing injustice to lots of posters who have made me laugh my guts out (including DR) but I'll just go with Gambit, Bumper, and Cricketics. 6. Best Writer : Salil, Dhondy, and Ravi. 7. Best Behaved Poster : Munda Pakistani, for the restraint he shows in face of some terrible attacks on Pakistan and choses to tackle the post and not the poster. Sriram, for someone who posts so much, maintains excellent composure. Chandan, have I ever seen her lose her temper? Most Valuable Poster : Predator, Sriram, and Chandan.

1. Best cricket poster : Salil and Ravi, for their very cutting and insightful comments related to cricket. These two should really be cricket commentators because the insight they are capable of gleaning from watching the play is at a level higher than most commentators I've heard. 2. Best GD poster : There are several- my vote goes to Varun, Shwetabh and Lurker for their insightful, levelheaded and thought-provoking commentary and article-postings. 3. Best statistician : Nobody really. Cricket stats are pretty cr@p to begin with as it is not statistical analysis but simplistic number-games with a data-mining agenda. 4. Best cameraman : Rajeev, hands down 5. Best humorous posters : This i vote as a tie- between Dhondy and Gambit. Both are capable of real gems that significantly increases my chances of being fired at the job for laughing and spilling coffee all around my computer screen. My signature is a living testament to how highly i regard these two's humor-quotient. 6. Best writer : Rahul aka Crazyhorse- yes, he's not really involved with this board save for the occasional once-in-a-blue-moon comment but when it comes to writing, nobody measures up to Rahul's standards- his hypothetical 'Lara-Tendulkar batting in tandem' commentary is one thiing that'd be forever etched into my mind. 7. Best Behaved poster : Vote goes to MP. Shows admirable restraint and civility while operating in a site infested with Hinduvta fanatics. Considering that I am not fond of Islam and I consider these Nazi-wannabes to be pretty damn aggravating, it amazes me how level headed and calm MP can remain in the midst. 8. MVP : Ravi & Rajeev for making it all happen and putting in countless thankless hours into making this site or the cricket-feed thing work. TYVM!

None of my picks are in any particular order: 1. Best Cricket Poster : (a) Ravi (b) Chandan © Predator (d) Hari Sampath Have you guys ever seen Ravi write a rhetorical post or even a single line post ? Says something about how thorough & professional he is, innit ? A post from Ravi, is always insightful. Ravi brings his knowledge to the board from his perspectives as a cricketer, coach & enthusiast. Chandan is a walking encyclopedia of cricket. Her knowledge of the game (especially domestic cricket), her enthusiasm for Indian cricket and her loyalty towards players, makes her a great addition to the board. Unlike the above two, Predator is a dynamite. When Predator writes, he never pu$$y foots. If you are looking for a friend who will be always with you, look elsewhere. But if you come here to see some hard hitting cricket posts, you got precisely that from Predator. He's always 'in your face'. But the content of his posts, more often than not, justify the hard hitting tone that his posts carry. Hari is a veteran. He is well connected. He also writes very well. His posts are elaborate and deep. They reflect his years of experience following/playing the game. His sense of humour makes his posts even more colorful. 2. Best GD Poster : (a) Lurker (b) DR © CC Am not really the best judge of the GD section, as i dont hang around there too much. But based on my overall experience in the GD section, i see these three (Lurker, DR & CC) as the maharathis of the GD section. What would the GD section be without these three ? Lurker is the most level headed of the three. The guy is an allrounder. His insights on so many diverse topics speaks for how 'well read' he is. DR is our news hound of the GD section (the equivalent of Desichap of the cricket section). DR does not believe in PCness. His perspectives are a bit contraversial. But he is incredibly knowledgeable on politics and current affairs. CC, the master debator. The guy is a jack of all trades. Whether his perspectives come from Google or books he read, he has a unique talent for debates. He gets very personal & loses his temper from time to time. If he avoids that, he will earn a lot of admirers. 3. Best Statistician : This isnt really a contest. Its easy to get numbers from howstat & cricinfo about players & teams. But if you want to know, how a player performed under hot weather, when the opponent bowlers had a combined average of less than 25, when the opponent captain was constipating or whether the team totals follow Poisson or normal distribution, if so, what the standard deviation for the same is or better what the chance variation of a score sample would be, then BossBhai is the man! Mortals scan numbers, BossBhai rectal scans them. 4. Best Cameraman : (a) Rajeev (b) Cricketics Rajeev, historically has been the go-to-guy for such things. Tics, has been the latest addition. He does a marvellous job (if you are an ICF staff, you know what i mean). 5. Best Humorous Poster : (a) Gambit (b) Dhondy One thing you are guaranteed at ICF, is the quality of humour. Gambit, is a master of pictorial humour. He works magic with pictures. You have to be extremely creative to be able to produce that kinda humour that consistently. His cricinfo spoofs, the legendary "woolmer's herd" spoofs etc are true Hall of famers, ones that will be etched in our memories forever. Dhondy, is the most gifted of all humorous writers i have seen. Mortals come up with humourous gems, once in a while, when something inspires them. But Dhondy has the knack of creating humour out of thin air. Remember how quickly he wrote that spoof on Anal (The Nazi piece), when he read something over there that irked him ? Or the creativity he showed in the spoof on Pak cricket, in which he compared the bent arm chuckers with the shape of the crescent ? Just when you think u have read his funniest, he somehow conjures up something even more funnier. Bloody amazing, the talent of this man! 6. Best Writer : Salil, Dhondy, and Shwetabh (a) Dhondy (b) Salil © Shwetabh Dhondy will always figure in any list that honors writers. He has an infinite vocabulary. I have learnt more English reading Dhondy, than i ever did in school. Salil, is a genius. For a guy who is that young, he already has articles published on cricinfo, the most read cricket site in the world. His articles are revealing -- ones that reflect the depth abd breadth of his cricket knowledge. Shwetabh, is an allrounder. He is kinda like the Imran Khan of the board. Shwetabh makes a case for himself as one of the best writers, by standing out in many categories. He writes good articles, makes great (level headed) cricket posts, is a star of GD, politics forums. 7. Best Behaved Poster : Varun & MP take the honors. Varun never loses his cool. He is a rare breed. Hard to see people like him on the net. Unlike Varun, MP, doesnt have an option :P Just kidding! To be a respected Pak fan on an Indian board is not easy. MP has managed precisely that MVP: The oscar goes to Marirs Mania. Sriram is a robot. You post at 3am, he is there with a response. He is a moderator's dream. His enthusiasm for diff types of discussions, his likeable character and his knowledgeable posts, combined with his excellent demeanour and his commitment to the board means he is in every body' MVP list. Truly an MVP, one who deserves the iPoD. PS: Before someone calls me a male chauvinist (given my list full of male posters), special mention to the ever adorable beetle, fineleg & Aditi of ICF (did i leave out anyone ?). These girls have offered incredible amount of support to run this place. Among the ladies, I've found beetle the most intelligent, Aditi the most versatile and fineleg the most dramatic. A round of applause to all the ladies of ICF.
