But all those people who have been nominated too deserve appreciation. hope the members spread around word about ICF and also increase the membership. I do hope we get more interviews from active indian players and retired players as well as selectors in zonal /National level. at least we can understand what it takes to reach the indian team and establish there.!

I wanted to avoid even posting on this thread till the results were announced as I was mentioned by one or two for humor, cricket writer etc. The facts are as far as 2007 was concerned, I had joined ICF only in October 2007 and I was no way qualified to judge a whole year's posts by so many other members, nor could I have seriously been a candidate for any ICF award , having just 3 months on my track record. But Thanks everyone ( Bumps, Doc and others..) wonder if there is any award for fastest earning poster ? ;-) as I am touching $ icf 100,000 in around 100 days of joining. Bumps certainly was an excellent candidate for humor ( he even tried to earn that award by nominating me for best cricket writer and also calling finey a girl: two great examples of his humor earlier in this thread :-) ) But Sriram getting Mvp was always going to be a no brainer ( after all he is the only ICFer to have spoken to me directly and he is from Chennai, the combination is hard to beat)....Sriram...GREAT, you gotta be in politics , shall I recommend you to LKA for a thogidhi ?, though u have to get used to clapping for Modi :-) (btw, Sriram I heard a rumor that your award carried a real cash prize of $10,000 which got adjusted against your 2007 rent for living here) :-)

More than the MVP award itself, I am actually thrilled to bits to see that I got some nominations for the " Best Behaved Poster" award too, and that is the award closest to my heart. ALL WINNERZ SHOULD GIVE THEIR THANK YOU SPEACH.. ...will do a Aamir Khan in Filmfare and expect some kid to pick up the trophy As for others 1) Shwetbah can come like in a Khakhi Kurta with a beard and say "Thank you" when asked to say 2 words 2) Bossbhai can come marching in, with a big moustache ands smile, just waves to the crowd, opens up with a shayari and pays tribute to a political party for his success 3) When Lurkers name is announced, he enters from Back stage and pays tribute to no political party but does thank his native village 4) Dhondy comes in like flamboyant-drunk-feroz khan, talks Shakespearean while holding the hosts hand 5) Gambit, gets the biggest applaud but comes in a shy looking teenager who looks around with nervous eyes and gives a 10 min speech but doesn't stop so people get up and start clapping so he could leave 6) Munda_Pakistani comes in with High Commissioner of Pakistan in India, gives a very political correct speech and returns Last but no least, Special Guest RAJNIKANTH has arrived from Chennai to give award to Sriram, while accepting the award, Sriram just stood there staring at Rajnikanth and gets so nervous that he gives his whole acceptance speech in telugu.. ..alternatively, TV Channels did sub them ..it was a huge night for everyone as everyone got hammered at the after-party
