Yeah, Even Bumrah is coming up nicely but we can only carry so many bowlers to Australia, even Varun Aaron is not going to Australia. It is good to see that we are slowly but surely building up a reserve of fast and medium fast bowlers. Earlier we just had one or two options but now we have 6-7 guys competing for the Indian team spot.

Now, coming back to Vijay Hazare trophy, the pitch at Chinnaswamy has been a disgrace till now, the pace and bounce both are inconsistent. The Alur pitch sounds much better but sadly no cameras there.

I agree that the pitches have been bad, but they do make for some interesting viewing. Wickets tumble so action is guaranteed.

Ankit Rajpoot is one exception. Dont know why he is not playing.

Saw Ankit  Rajput in 2014 IPL.

He is a tall pacer who gets bounce at times.

But, his speeds were mostly 125 k to 135 k even in T20s.

Maybe he is young and can add some speed.

Ishant Sharma has bowled really well in his earlier overs.

BUT

His final over was disappointing in the sense that he tried only 1 yorker and went for 9 runs even though a tailender was batting. Not sure if he has worked on his yorkers.

Currently only Shami is good at bowling yorkers. Umesh and BK can bowl yorkers but are not very accurate.

Rishi Dhawan is bowling really slow. Poor stuff from Dhawan. Rishabh Pant is standing 2 feet outside the crease and smacking him around. Guess what Warner and co. will do to him if he bowls at this pace.

Did you watch his first over ? What were his speeds ?

Rishabh Pant has played some good drives today.

At times he is playing away from his body and not going to the pitch of the ball.

He is now dismissed trying to play a lofted drive.

Didn't watch his 1st over but don't think his pace will be any different from his pace in 2nd over. How are his variations? Does he have a good slower ball?

All his balls were slower balls.  :cantstop:   Did not bowl any perceptible variations in his second over.

When i saw him last in an IPL match...he was a skiddy pacer bowling around 130 k.
