since when has cricketers are being considered as  legends by public polls, i thought its by record n perfomances

And superstar well they ll always be flashy cricketers. That doesnt make steve smith less of a player. 

Infact, if polls are to be ran , ask ppl who are modern day gr8 batsman the answer ull get is root, kohli, wiliiamson, smith, amla , ab devillers

N u knw wats comman in them consistent perfomances and runs in diff conditions

Aliaster cook being a left hander has no left hander grace so does that make him less of cricketer

Or wat about steve waugh, didnt look that gud specially against ball on his body, specially compared to hi brother mark waugh who was beautiful to eyes. But doesnt matter

IF he is painful to watch, well shut the tv. His business is to make runs for the team and he does that more efficiently to guys like Rohit, Shehzad, akmal, carl hooper, kambli all these player who were or are beautiful to watch.

At the end of the Techqnique , gorgeous shots , elegance are not on board it runs and wkts

Cricket is for entertainment and batsman who are stylish will entertain the neutral viewers even more....

There were days i used to woke up early in the morning just to see gilly batting ( even though India was not playing)

Even recently, i figure out different ways to see Aus vs Nz matches ....just to watch Brendon bat ....

Try to understand the subtle point ...i m making here....

I m not undermining his effort and also i acknowledge that he is a huge player for australia.......but he is awful to look him bat

Steve Smith's averages and stats in test matches played in different countries.

He has played only 4 tests in the Asia  so far.

He has been superb outside Asia and decent in Asia so far.

I want to see how he fares in Asia after say 10 or 15 tests.

In ODis, Smith has done well mainly in Australia ....and poorly in most other places so far.

Smith plays in the ipl for rr(played for pune puppies earlier) and has decent experience of batting in the middle order for his respective franchises.he was very good for rr in the last two seasons iirc along with foxxy so he should no way be underestimated.I believe only him and Maxwell are the real threats in the Australian side on spinning tracks
