Worrying Signs for India

Not that Pappu is great or anything, but IMO - Pappu (Parthiv Patel) can bat better than left-handed Dhawan or Raina in current form. Pappu has very limited scoring areas, but still better (in current form) than these two for "left handed replacement"

I don't think he is really making waves for selectors to consider him.

Samson has regressed and been very inconsistent at domestic level - if a player can't even put up consistent performances at a domestic level, then you can't select him and expect him to succeed at international level - reality is that other than Pandya and Shreyas Iyer, not many have really knocked on the selectors' door that loudly.  And Iyer's time will come, thats for sure.

sanju samson Infact played really well in the domestic t20 tournament.

Ultimate aim of Indian selectors seem like they want the same eleven in all 3 formats.

yes 267 runs from 9 innings with 3 good fifties. Samson along with guys like Manish Pandey and shreyas iyer should have been selected instead of dhawan, Yuvraj and rahane.

Let's see how he goes in the IPL. Who is he playing for?

still if you take Kohli out your team is not that hard to beat. Kohli gets bulk if your runs. Unless its a flat deck that is. Indian batting in 2011 was a lot stronger compared to this one.

Our test batting is good  now. Apart from Kohli , we have Rahane and Vijay doing really well.     Pujara is very good on turning tracks.

Our 2011 ODI batting line-up was very good. Primarily because it had 4 good test batsmen who were good ODI batsmen too. Such batters can survive even in tough conditions and pitches.
