NameGoesHere Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I liked Gavaskar's commentary yesterday. Thought he was fine. And why should a commentator focus on "our own players", as per Amitabh's comments, I have no idea.
diehardpacer Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 No fan of Gavaskar and his hara-kiri.But if he had been praising our players,we might have lost.He jinxed the Bangla cubs, without intending to do so.These types of matches bring superstitions into play. It's all fair as long as we win. moniker Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Commentators are supposed to provide neutral assessment. There isn't any mini battle going on up there on that commentary box where they've gotta take sides. A commentator talking only about the country he's from just shows how less informed he is about the game. Dhoni seems to have gotten a lot more emotional after the Bangla game. Not sure what he planned to achieve by retweeting this. His behaviour is getting strange and uncharacteristic. zep1706, MK55, tweaker and 1 other 4

He has always been like that. I have never seen him taking a principled stand which might get him in trouble. Being PC is his forte. He would butter anyone up as long as it benefits him. When he was new to twitter he used to tweet spam links that claimed to get him more followers, I was like WTF. Now he wants commentators to be jingoistic. Some of us, true followers of the game would hate it but it gets him in the good books of many. kosingh 1
zep1706 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 He was pessimistic today .He was like BD will win this easily etc . Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk As someone already mentioned, he was clearly trying to jinx BD But let's be honest. With 52 to get off 48 balls and 6 wickets in hand BD should have won it convincingly. I thought those 2 overs from Bumrah turned the match in our favor. diehardpacer 1
kosingh Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Time for Gavaskar to give these Bollywood attention hogs some acting tips.
