If you doubt, it go ahead and organize a tournament with out Indian participation and see what you get. There is nothing fair about one board bearing the financial board of rest of the cricketing world. One of the key points of thr Woolff report is that for any tangible reform, the financial burden should be more evenly distributed. Quit being righteous about wanting to loot BCCI. Yeah but the degree or shares and details of the sharing which we are not privy too would be the talking points. Fair for India to expect a bigger share than anyone else but there has to be a degree of socialist angle to it as well.

It is not like ICC is one country. 2) This did not come into play until BCCI became a financial powerhouse. Why wasn;t there a push for this before that? 3) Currently, after the reorg, BCCI gets 22% of the surplus whole it contributes close to 70+ % of total revenue. Why do you deem that unfair?
Ironhide Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 All these communists or socialists want India to get 4% just like everyone. Srinivasan took it up to 22% under Big-3 takeover and now Manohar has already either taken it down or wants it to be at 16%. All this Extreme Hoopla while India contributes around 75% and we are asking for just 22%.
CG Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 You have nothing to back up your assertion. It can be clearly established that major financial decisions are being without the biggest contributor to world cricket on the financial committee and unheard of amounts are being spent on a 2 week tournament all with the collusion of a guy who is out to screw BCCI (Manohar). Glad BCCI has wizened up. Its there on Icc website the last member is yet to be decided. The executive committee still has Indians .What financial decisions ?Icc Hardly has any tourneys except wc and champions trophy.Icc has always been power less and will always be.The budjet to England is 45 million dollars not 100 as was asserted. Better to check facts rather Bcci news stories.
CG Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 power begets power, BCCI wants the avalanche effect. But the fundamental point here is fair distribution of resources. Just because India produces 77% of revenue it does not mean its BCCI's share, cause half of that is other teams competing. But India will look for a good share now, so that i can develop cricket far and wide in India and surroundings. If Srini returns in any capacity, hope he is efficient in enlisting other boards in consensus, cause otherwise it will look very bad for him Its nothing do with money or India's interest its all to do with saving Bcci ass against supreme court by icc intervening .

So ECB will get an expensive office at BCCI's expense, just like it was during the British Raj. And just like it was during the Raj, there are indian who are clueless and cheering ICC/ECB on. That's why the difference in the figure BCCI is claiming and ICC is mentioning.

First of all your point was financial committee where one place us to be allocated. The commitee still has not been formed and even at current state it has represented by many voices not only england. The building thing is just speculation other members are not fools. As is said officially Icc said budget is 45million dollars .Its hard to believe people fall for these news stories.

BeautifulGame Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Its not confirmed just speculation.i find it impossible to believe other Memebers will allow ecb such a gift Former ECB chairman Giles Clarke is the current financial committee head which decides these budget allocations . Basically ECB is allocating it's own budget . Just see how big a conflict of interest this is.If Manohar and ICC are for fair and transparency why haven't they addressed this blatant conflict of interest ? BCCI is perfectly valid in raising these issues and for once I would trust BCCI on these figures than what ICC is saying .
CG Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Financial committee decisions will be taken up by executive committee. The building thing and budjet figures are just tumors unless officially confirmed,There are other Memebers too on financial committee and this kind of thing is hard to believe when icc itself is a poor body.

CG Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 why don't you spell out how ICC/Manohar screwing over BCCI is going to help them with supreme court? As Shirke and anurag thakur officially have said they want Icc to tell sc that Bcci independence is been taken away by lodha commitee like Icc has done in past in srilanka cricket board case. But Manohar is not obliging so Bcci wants there man Srini at helm.
gakgupta Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Does this mean, Indian cricket has to bear with the misery called dhoni??

Hasn't the supreme court done exactly that? dictating telecast rules and commercial breaks etc etc? WTH hell would the court know about the finances of a cricket board?

Not that hard to believe when Manohar has openly come against current amount of money BCCI gets from ICC and has vowed to dismantle it. In the mean time idiotic SC is doings it best to reduce revenue from tests and ODI in bilaterals. IF Srini gets in and fixes this, I'm all for it. Manohar is a loser and needs to chased.

Telecast rules and commercial breaks recommendations were not accepted but that's another matter.Bcci needs change and Imo this drama is been played for personal interest rather than Indian cricket interest so I don't care .

We have to understand money is not a problem for Bcci and if you expect few million dollars more will help change Indian cricket facilities you will are mistaken .Its all for personal grudges. If sc implements even some of proposal and professionalism comes to Bcci and state associations where the most rampant corruption occurs I am all for it.
CG Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Regarding telecast quality in India its pathetic with ads between balls sometimes and broadcast quality is nowhere compared to England and aus.as fans we deserve better Even if it meant Bcci losing revenue.
