Ten months after being replaced as the chief of the International Cricket Council (ICC) president, N. Srinivasan is likely to return to cricket’s global governing body. The former BCCI and ICC chief has emerged as the front-runner to being the BCCI’s representative on the ICC’s Board of Directors.

Srinivasan’s nomination is being supported by the BCCI president Anurag Thakur and Ajay Shirke, with the latter set to be re-elected as the secretary during its 87th AGM on Tuesday. Considering Srinivasan’s equation with the Board’s top brass over the last three years, the move may come as a surprise, but it only proves that there are no permanent friends or foes in BCCI corridors, just like in politics.

Srini rises like phoenix :aha:

There were reports in local media last week Shirke met with Srini on the sidelines of TNPL to discuss ICC and Lodha panel. And that they felt BCCI needs Srini now as they lack experience to deal these issues as Dalmiya is no more and deal with Manohar in particular.

So not really a surprise.

I suppose one good think is that there won't be any issues for CSK to return after next .

The spineless Shashank Manohar seems to be ignoring India's interes. He has decided to skip the 500th test and there is a tiff going on between Anurag and Shasank. Hoping for a quick exit of Shasank

Now ban Manohar forever this traitor lost a match against Australia now at ICC he is thinking he is his own boss by changing rules. But didn't shirke and thakur got rid of Srini in the first place.

Nice to see Srini mama back, the sad demise of Dalmiya created an opportunity for snakes like Manohar who first left India high and dry in this moment of instability and then is attacking from outside, BCCI needs a strong person who can bitchslap him to reality.

Missed Mama bullying ICC and other boards....don't care if he develops Indian cricket or  not as his alternatives don't do jack either....but missed him bringing every one down to the knees :yay:

Lord COmmander Seeni Mama is back :hail:

First of all Icc financial committee the position is yet to decided and most probably it will go to India.Indians are there in Evey Icc committee and Icc revenue is nothing compared to bcci. All this drama is being fought to force Icc to interfere and make case for Bcci being autonomous before sc .Icc can do nothing to harm infian cricket .

power begets power, BCCI wants the avalanche effect. But the fundamental point here is fair distribution of resources. Just because India produces 77% of revenue it does not mean its BCCI's share, cause half of that is other teams competing. But India will look for a good share now, so that i can develop cricket far and wide in India and surroundings. If Srini returns in any capacity, hope he is efficient in enlisting other boards in consensus, cause otherwise it will look very bad for him

You have nothing to back up your assertion.

It can be clearly established that major financial decisions are being without the biggest contributor to world cricket on the financial committee and unheard of amounts are being spent on a 2 week tournament all with the collusion of a guy who is out to screw BCCI (Manohar). Glad BCCI has wizened up.

Codswallaop. If I bring in the resources, guess what, it is my share.

If you doubt, it go ahead and organize a tournament with out Indian participation and see what you get.

There is nothing fair about one board bearing the financial board of rest of the cricketing world. One of the key points of thr Woolff report is that for any tangible reform, the financial burden should be more evenly distributed.

Quit being righteous about wanting to loot BCCI.
