This was never a Virat vs Dhoni argument , my worry is just the lack of finishers . The names which have been thrown as replacements my be decent options for wk-batsmen but none of them are finishers from what I have seen . 

 

 

My worry is the lack of finishers as we have only Kohli to look upto, as Dhoni is declining in ODIs as well. The issue now is majorly the players at #5 and #6. Thoroughly unreliable.

Thats pretty much what I am trying to say . you take off even declining Dhoni it will put more pressure on Virat .

Quite true, an Oxymoron if yours was quite lower then mine, thnx

Dhoni played with instinct, was never a thinking or tactical player or captain, that's is the reason of his failure in test, like Ishant still hasnt learnt to bowl in test same was Dhoni cannot captain or bat well in test, only format he was good at was ODI n that too mostly at home batting wise.

He never had a multi dimensional or tactical approach say as some one like Dada, Pataudi, Virat n now with Kumble you can see the difference
