Exactly. Won't be surprised if we get similar pitch in next test as that's another venue where India will be playing a test match for the first time.

This is a patta.Pathetic by the SCA to roll out this kind of a pitch.

Sure this is a flat pitch, but not poor pitch at all. Indian performance has been quite poor here so far. Otherwise it's a decent track where a team can bat for 100-120 overs in first inning.

Decent 5 day pitch

Any Indian pitch where England can score 400 is a poor pitch. If all catches where taken they would have been dismissed near 400.

Agree with Trichromatic. We have ourselves to blame after dropping so many catches. Imagine cook going out in first over and not adding runs with Hameed. The situation feels different when Root would come at 0-1 instead of 40 something for 1. and there were many such instances today.

Any Indian pitch where Ashwin and Mishra get outbowled by Shami and Umesh mean pathetic bowling from spinners.

Mishra is a pathetic bowler should have never played.

And on a flat deck a fast bowler has more chances of taking a wicket than a spinner.

History doesn't suggest so. Spinners pick more wickets even on pattas in India
