Maybe true. But George Dubya's illegitimate aussie offspring always infuriated me.

I thought that was Anderson (but maybe he was the Brit offspring).

Thing is he was arrogant and if we forget that and just focus on his batting and fielding, he was a top cricketer. Same you can say for Mcgrath. And alsomcurrently for Anderson and some of the mean West Indian fast bowlers.

Curtly Ambrose was arrogant too, but media and tv coverage wasn't the best at that time to make him look like a tool amd arrogant.

Ponting had a huge surge for many years, and an equally long period of decline. His batting was very dashing indeed. Kohli is more Punter than Tendulkar.

Exciting was as Punter and Longevity of Kohli will eventually be like Tendulkar as you can already see, but still a lot to prove as he has had a fairly short test career.

There was definitely a diff between McG and Amby. Not saying Amby's a saint, but McG crossed lines Amby didn't. And I know who I'd rather not face if they were angry (Amby of course).

Yeah - you can be arrogant without being a jack-@ss.  Aussies tend not to not know the difference.  Virat, to his credit, has started to recede from the jack-@ssery while still staying arrogant.  Besides, he's our harami:p:

Ambrose sledged and gave Aussie their own game. He would come out and talk about even Indiam cricketers how he did kot rate them including Tendulkar. In the end though whem he retired, he had all but good stuff to say about Tendlya. Ponting was actually better in that regard.

In has last 4-5 years, I heard him praising Tendulkar a lot. Ponting got better as he matured and got older.

Talking about how you don't rate someone just makes one arrogant. McG said many things that were much worse. As did Punter in earlier years. But yes, he matured. As do most cricketers. Look at Reverend Warner for example.

Our Kohli isn't bad example either. Probably the nest I think. Look at his celebrations now :)

I see. Good to know. I suppose some Indian bats also use Kooka?

Just saw Ishank Jaggi using Kookaburra in the Haryana/Jharkhand Q/F game.

I dont rate ponting as great captain he is made out to be.With the team he had anybody would have won.Allthough he did try to build a team after legends retire. He was a great odi batsman who i found faltered against quality attacks in tests.

Oddly I favor Hunts County bats, followed by Slazenger and CA (these always felt wider to me). Never liked Grey Nicholls; always felt their balance to be off for me.

Never used Hunts County, Slazengers feel really good though.

CA are another popular bats here, which many Pakistani friends of mine bring from back home of theirs, but they do not last long. They break fast, faster than most other bats I have seen.

In terms of money coming worth, I think GM, which I haven't used a lot, are the ones which last you well. They could be expensive than your regular bats, but they will surely last better than most bats.

Gray Nicolls just posted this full year performance with stats video of all the top Gray Nicolls sponsored players and they have also included Karun Nair's 300 stats.

I think this looks like a big deal, and here to stay as long as Nair can keep his runs going. Gray Nicolls will also start posching more Indian youngsters soon looks like.

Ab De Villiers got a new bat now - MRF :)

Reminds me of how after Tendulkar, Lara and Steve Waugh too ended up getting sponsorship from MRF.

I expect Smith and Williamson or Root to also play with MRF soon.

Pointless sponsoring any of that three considering MRF is indian based. Ab has good fanbase in India cause of IPL that's  the only reason he got it. He is loved by many people cause of his unique shots. Other 3 are average T20 players.

Yep.Cant see others getting MRF.

Average t20 playwrs so what? It is about ODI's and Test too.

They are pretty good players. Not in the same league as Lara yet but with time they could and might get thmselves an MRF sponsorship.
