I have seen many players other than English players, but seeing first Indian who is actually using Gray Nicolls in an international game.

 

Only other player who is Indian and has played with Gray Nicolls which I can remember is Sunny Sohal, who was using it here in Washington Cricket League last year.

 

Any others?

Nothing special. Indian bats are equally expensive provided you get the same grade.

 

He is probably using the same edition as Cook or other English players but not the Kaboom as the one which Warner has.

 

Nicolls aren't any special in price.

I think I have seen. It is surely more common and you can easily find among Indians, compared to Nicolls. Let me try to remember who used it.

I don't think any cricketer who has played for India has used it.

 

Infact from the entire subcontinent, the only cricketer I know who used this was Jayasuriya.

Is Gray-Nicolls a very light bat? That might explain why hardly any Indian player uses it, since pitches here are slow and low backlift is preferred, hence heavier bats are used.

All bats are like same or similar to the ones made in Indian man. Some light weight bats some heavy. People customize it etc.

 

Here in U.S, most people use Indian bats. SS Ton being the most popular. Even many Pakistani and West Indian players use that. I am talking about some top domestic Pakistani players who come here to play here in U.S. SG is slowly starting to gain popularity, but SS is the deal here. Every 2nd person has an SS bat.

But the there has to be some technical difference between Gray-Nicolls and SS bats no? I remember visiting a sports goods shop long time ago, I picked up the Kookaburra Kahuna bat, it's sweet spot was located more towards the centre of the bat and the bat was very light, an ideal bat for playing square cuts and pull/hooks on bouncy surfaces.

Ya, as I said earlier, different grades will provide you difference. These days, there are too many editions, so ya some bats will look different from a particular manufacturer, while other's will have similar sweet spot the one from another manufacturers.

 

I personallyl prefer RNS Larson which one Sardarji sends me to U.S from Jalandhar.

I think he meant Kohli letting it lose in captaincy, when the the tailenders were batting, in particular when Ball was there.

Just read info about RNS Larson bats, it seems Yusuf Pathan uses that bat. What kind of bats you prefer? What kind of feel you want from the bat when you decide to select one?

I liked heavy bats. Weight in pounds usually 2 11. But I recently broke my finger, and hence trying to reduce the weight to 2-9/7 which is much lighter now to play pull shots etc. This is something Sardarji does it for me when I order form him. Plus he can get the good, well shaped bats. Some of those are close to player edition quality but not as expensive.

 

Also, the ones you posted in that picture, those are some of the bats being used by many players these days. Even Kohli often practices with RNS at times and many other players from around the world. RNS is more popular than we know. 4-5 USA players are sponsored by them and many player in Big Bash use it too.
