surajmal Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 One of these days, Indian fans would start acting like their team represents the centre of world cricket... one of these days. TheWall and GoldenSun 1 1

sandeep Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Nasser was a twat. I actually really like him as a commentator and analyst. Always well-informed and gives good insights. Not overly biased, just provides an England perspective. Atherton is, and was a bitter twat. But don't care about him. Nick Knight is decent too. I will take the likes of Nasser and Knight anyday over Manjrekar, Shastri, Arun Lal, Rameez Raja, or any of the SL/WI/PAK commies. GoldenSun and tweaker 2

Sandeep99 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 I also don't understand what's Nasser's obsession with silencing the crowd.. looks silly when you keep repeating that. The crowd came to support India, what else does he expect? AuxiliA 1

You know there are 2 sets of fans right? Not all commies need to pussy-foot around the thin-skinned Indian fan who can't handle his team's misfortunes. GoldenSun 1

Your best commie has been banned for saying the truth.

Indian commies are idiots, I acknowledge that. The thread is about English ones and I just put forward my observations. No need to get worked up.

Only Wasim is worth listening to from Pakistan as he brings a lot of insights into his commentary, even if he isn't as fluent as the best commentators in the world.

Time and again, I see fans whining about Nasser, especially in tense game situations. Classic example of fans venting frustration on the voice they hear saying things they don't want to hear. Poor yardstick to judge commentators by, IMO. I detested Nasser when he was a player, especially for his public statements. But he is genuinely quality as a commentator. Its unfortunate that Indians target him with their biased wrath so often.

He may have resorted to that phrase - which made me vomit by the end of the test series - but he said it the least amongst all pommie analysts. And he certainly didn't go the excuse-making or patronizing route with it - it was in the context of pointing out England's flaws and flawed tactics and selection. Not to diminish Team India's performances, or the importance of the game, or any such. Context matters.

kosingh Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 I like Nasser. Most foreign commentators are biased against India unless they have a commercial interest in being pro India. Nasser is often critical of India and BCCI. And I often find myself agreeing with his criticisms. sandeep 1
King Tendulkar Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 For the first and second test . Nasser and his twats when ever mentioned kohli then talked about his England tour . It was pathetic Sandeep99 1
