express bowling Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 These sort of slow pitches make T20 matches very boring Both batsmen and fast bowlers are disadvantaged and military medium pacers and darters rule the roost

Even Bumrah doesn't bowl much with new ball. So if they pock him with Bumrah in the team also, it is important to know the new ball. Impportant to develop bowlers who can bowl both with old and the new ball. That control of swing if learned early is precious. This is where all the new pace bowlers struggle when they come against hitters like Sehwag and Warner who dismantle them on one error. Thampi is a swing bowler unlike Bumrah who is a seam bowler. Thampi should do well with the new ball as he has swing, pace and accuracy. Mosher 1

These Hyderabad bats batted pathetically and gave free wickets early.

Surely with that pace, most bowlers will be better with a semi old ball. But knowing how to bowl quick is important for first change bowler. Even for Bumrah as he could be used early if someone is not finding the rhythmn.
