Please think, Rahane had to choose Siraj when our main bowlers were injured that's why Siraj was there. Don't portray it like Rahane pulling a Rabbit out of his hat, lol, he was obligated to pick him. 

Picking Siraj in WTC final doesn't give you any guarantee, Ishant and Shami aren't pushovers either.

Both matches were independent events. 

Kohli led us to 200 runs defeat in first test vs eng in 2021 but then won us the next three.Losing one match badly doesn't imply that you'll lose the others too.

Smith is obviously by far the great test batter of the quartet, followed by williamson. Root is looking really good at the moment too. As for captaincy, Root is poor, Rat is uneven, and SMith was okay. Williamson is probably the best of the bunch.
