Singh bling Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Just now, express bowling said: How small is this ground !! Looks very small
flat_wicket_bully Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 How the hell can you bowl length deliveries outside off when the field is up on off side. Tye does not qualify as an international bowler. Brilliant innings by gunaratne. He seems to be very good prospect for Srilanka
YCCC Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I really enjoy the BBL but I maintain that the quality isn't that great. Obviously it's nowhere near the IPL, but I don't think it's that much better than the SA Slam thingy and our very own T20 Blast. The main Aussie players (Warner, Smith, Starc) hardly play, they don't get many huge worldwide names, just McCullum this year and he wouldn't have been there if he was still playing for NZ, and their best domestic players looked very ordinary when thrown onto the international stage in this series and the recent Chappell Hadlee series in NZ. Perth would probably beat Northants 9 times out of 10 but I reckon the Steelbacks would run them close, particularly at home.

The thing with Perth is that they're the only team that is actually a shield team. The other seven teams spread the talent of 5 shield teams between them so get some real duds while Perth is just Western Australia + two overseas players and a retired former WA bowler (Hogg/Johnson). So Perth would beat any county team more often then not just as they beat the other BBL teams often enough to host five out of six finals with a third place finish in the other year. YCCC 1
