If I were Vijay I would try signing up for county cricket. All county sides will be desperate for a world class opening maestro like him. Punjab isn't going to come close to win anything and it is an insult for Vijay to be captained by a hack like Maxwell.

Vijay getting picked up next season in IPL will be based on his performances this season.

Or planning to stick @ no.8??? Morgen is not their for full season so they should have started with him first then the other way around.. Don't get me wrong but amla is another useless t20i bat leave alone captainship

I don't understand why IPL franchises go for an overseas captain. The overseas players don't have an idea about the local players and can't communicate effectively with them. Plus if the overseas player goes through a bad patch it creates additional pressure as you can't use his slot to bring in another overseas player.

I was firstly surprised that Kings XI retained Maxwell and Miller after a horrible horrible two seasons. now this hack has been made captain. As if his batting wasnt bad enough to begin with and now you give him the captaincy.

 

Players like these are mercenaries who jump from one team to the other and they dont give two poos about loyalty. IPL needs two divisions to introduce relegation and promotion. Otherwise rubbish teams like Punjab and Pune will forever be complacent in picking the right management and players.
