maniac
Revisit this thread in 2-3 years and Root is going to be one of the Top batsman in world cricket. I mean he is not-intimidated at all batting in ODI's regardless of conditions and the way he played in his debut test in alien conditions,he has all the makings of a future great. Something about his swagger and confidence, tells me he has the game to flourish in all conditions. Guys Joe Root is the real deal. Link to comment

Look at the context of his innings...He has played both the waiting game as well as the attacking game already in his short career. Played Test matches in alien conditions...Has done well so far.You can see a spark there the way he carries himself Link to comment

maniac
Meh. Yup he looks good and all but isn't calling him a future ATG too much? Same was said about Bravo as well. Root has played in a lot of situations already in his young career and looks to have a terrific temperament.....He has all the skills. Never seen Bravo play innings at the death because he doesn't have too but this guy has played both roles admirably well. Link to comment

hassan_113
I watched this guy whilst at uni and before- he played v my cousin twice in Sheffield. Once aged 10 and then 13. He was a good bowler and brilliant batsmen. Glad to have seen him made it right to the top. Link to comment
