^^ Oh I have found the interview of Lata Mangeshkar by Srinivasan Jain: Watch at 3.17 - the subtitle mentions "Temton" Prakash. The whole interview is pathetic because of Jain's evident lack of knowledge of her career. 7m-AIrPcBsE

Madhu Trehan (IndiaToday,NewsLaundry) infuriated at being repeatedly called a PROstitute (with a different spelling ) by namo cheerGirls on Tooter.

madhu trehan ‏@madhutrehan 22h22 hours ago And that is why u couldn't be more BLOCKED. I'd rather spend my time usefully than deal with goons
Glad, no one is publicly referring to women politicians by similar puerile pejoratives . Because that would be unacceptable.

Sreenivasan Jain seems to be following Rajdeep's path to success. I won't blame him. He has seen how Barkha Dutt' date=' Rajdeep became famous by their biased stories, so Jain obviously knows how career progression can be made in NDTV.[/quote'] Rajdeep is another level. He will assault and beat any NaMo supporter in broad daylight , then will slap himself and create a news that he is a victim instead. The Madison square NY is a perfect example of how he can make the culprit become a victim. (and victim become culprit) Mainstream journalists are really no different from our secular politicians. They are intolerant, abusive and can physically assault you. And then, they have the power to make victim be seen as the culprit and vice versa.

He tried to, but was exposed badly by several mobile phone videos of the incident. He should thank his lucky stars that he has escaped prosecution for physical assault.

So think about the possibly countless times, these journalists have misused their power with totally false news. Rajdeep was certainly lucky, and imo, if this was Congress there instead of NaMo fan, they would have demanded his resignation and made a big issue. BJP have been too soft on him. How is this guy still in news when he lost his entire creditability in that one incident? Obviously, his blatant and biased lies pleases some powerful backers.

I am not sure why the current government is going so soft on these presstitutes' date=' dont they have enough evidence to sue these scumbags[/quote'] India requires a media watchdog. It should create media standard, morality and ethics, It should make guidelines what can be shown, what is considered as reliable source and how debates can be carried out. For example a multi party TV debates should be about polices and not about a incident. Anyone who is as big as running a news Daily selling around half million copies or having tv an radio license should fall under them.

It is up to the people to rise above these and understand the futility of relying on so called MSM stuff. Parallel and social media have come up which are really laying into these MSM practises. And Modi's win in 2014 elections were in spite of MSM media and not because of it. Everyone is entitled to his opinion.

Campaign of misinformation is crime and there should be a mechanism to discipline people indulged in it. If its a blatant lie, journalist licences should be revoked. Just today government has to issue advisory that News outlets are breaking law by Live reporting of Gurdaspur for TRP. Just like Cricket where BCCI can ban players involved in spot fixing or so on This watchdog should be in a position to deal with these outlets. Rajdeep Sardesai still covering news on a reputed news outlet like India Today group after beating up NRI who came to watch Modi shouldnt be allowed. Its only happening because its left on India Today group to discipline him.

Freedom of the press should not be trampled on by government action. Excessive government interference in the Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression will move us from a democracy towards an autocracy, the kind of which was in place during the Emergency days.

There is a difference between opinion and spreading lies. The latter should definitely be checked and am pretty sure our legal structure allows for that.

I doubt there is? That will be a issue on freedom of Press. Press should regulate itself. It should come up wiyth standards and guidelines for journos Here, In Britain there is PCC, which will soon be replaced by self regulatory body Independent Press Standards Organisation. On top of it there is Ofcom which deals with consumers complain. They can passs on grievances against a particular program and channels generally try to clarify it on air.

13 yrs ..is a long time. She was the Rana Auyub of that time..pretty mellowed down now. innit?
Rather, with rise of social media and parallel media, these guys lies' and agenda driven vehicle pieces are now exposed, so they have to mellow down. 13 yrs is a long time, but has she ever come out and admitted she was wrong back then in her assessments? I don't certainly think that Dr APJ was markedly a different man in the last 13 yrs than he was prior to that?

Read the article. I have lost any respect for her and channel. There is so much drivel. Science is a Brahmanincal satisfying Hindu male ego. And then she gives educational degrees of few Brahmin caste people in high ranking position. ISRO will only appoint Science graduate . Common Sense
