First off, victory or defeat is determined by success/failure to attain war objectives. Not by casualty list. In 1947, Pakistan's objective was to conquer Kashmir. It failed. India's objective was to defend Kashmir. It also failed but ended up with 70% of Kashmir by land and 85% of Kashmir by population. Therefore, 1947 was a draw that favoured India. In 1965 Pakistan's objective was to conquer Kashmir. It failed, it lost more land and soldiers than India. India's objective was to prevent loss of land to Pakistan. India succeeded.Therefore India won 1965. Same story in 1971 and 1999. Pakistan has never won a war against India, India has never lost a war to Pakistan.
