So let's say he had failed in all the group matches and scored in the final, would that make Great? Fakhar Zaman scored in the finals, does that make him great? Misbah lost the T20 wc to India, does that make him any less of a player? Don't judge a player by specific innings which are more important to you and disregard their whole career.

CT final is not mattered most scenario, anyways it was a final so he did well to reach it, just got outplayed in it. And there were 102 innings, see consistent performance ? that is what is being celebrated here. express bowling 1

You are dhoni fangirl and you asking this? Fakhar Zaman scored in the finals, does that make him great? No.BTW he also scored before finals. Misbah lost the T20 wc to India, does that make him any less of a player? Yes. It makes him a lesser player from being great. Don't judge a player by specific innings which are more important to you and disregard their whole career. WC semifinal and CT 2017 finals were couple of most important matches among many to come and played before. No point treating them not so imp since kohli failed. Although not addressed to me answered your questions. Don't think you can handle so much logic though.

Let me ask the questions to you directly if you feel like missing out man, toy usually skip mine anyways. I'm a Dhoni fangirl? How do you know that? So if I praise a player I'm a fan girl, and I point someone's flaw I'm a haywr, cool story bro. Zaman scored quite Avg but I guess if you term half the Indian team superstars, so would this guy then. So you decide which matches are imp regardless of who the player is - had your first beer today or what?
Scar Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 He is an ATG and his drive to excel is peerless save for smith. Yes he failed in important matches but he also scored in important matches so he just need one of that innings in finals where he hold the match by scruff of it's neck and own it, to cement his position as GOAT LOI player surpassing sachin and viv.

No point being a bilateral bully only. Of course that doesn't mean you need not score in bilaterals. Kohli is almost Great in T20s because he has scored in crucial games in t20s. But I don't think there were any bigger matches than Wc2015 semifinal and CT2017 final. The only okayish innings in 50 overs format from him in extremely crucial match in a world event is CT2013 final.

Topic is of chasing. He failed when he was wanted the most. And honestly its not just failure but the way he failed clearly clearly point to choking. Against Australia 1(13). Against Pakistan got embarrassed two in two. If this is not choking then what it is?

So someone who plays well Regardless of who the player is and misses out in few matches and that undoes everything else the player does? Great logic. Sachin got India into the 2011 wc by his knock in semis against Pak but failed in the final so he is any less of a player? What you on about?

The fact that Sachin missed out on finals is still a blot on his illustrious career. If only Sachin scored in wc2003 who knows we had Sehwag playing extremely well. Anyway Sachin is an exception here because he was crazy good in WC(each and every) events barring only finals. Don't think kohli has been that awesome in ICC 50 overs tournament.

He hasn't but point is specific matches cannot be the criteria to pass the judgement. Someone who plays well in career or throughout a tournament for example and fails in the semi final of a final cannot be just dismissed. Not specific to kohli but as a criteria for an assessment
