Cricketics Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 i hope not much articles are released on him from here.. he needs to continue performing.. i hope he doesn't get carried away.... it wsa good to see him bowl in discipline to punter even after not getting his wicket after bowling to him 6-7 overs in trot.. then he was finally rewarded.. i hope he continuez to show such discipline.... it was great to see all seniorz(dravid, tendulkar, kumble, vvs, kumble,sehwag) all giving him support and encouraging him on the field.. way to go

We have seen SRT, RD, VVS and SG slautering other bowlers, but often we have seen our greats were litterally tortured by other bowlers too.... I have not seen any indian bowler doing to others. It was such a fun watching a 19 years old kid rocking Cry baby on his own backyard....:giggle:. I dont care about SRT or SG, AK or RP..... Ishaaaaaant sharma is the man. He scared the hell out of him. Remember we are talking about a guy who is hailed by all the Aussies. So performing against him is not joke. Beware IS, new aggression against you is waiting in Adelaide.

King Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Is Ishanth Sharma better than say Balaji or Nehra? I don't think so. I'm not convinced Ishant Sharma can be compared to the likes of Ambrose. I think Balaji and Nehra looked class but only that the couldn't go on long enough.
Bumper Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Too much hype on Ishant after that one spell. He's got the goods (seam movement, bounce, pace etc). But comparisons to Ambrose are utter nonsense. Reminds me of the days Pathan was compared to Akram after one test match. I do hope Ishant does not take the traditional route that Indian pacemen take after some early success (as was the case with Pathan, Balaji, Munaf etc). The key to his success will be his fitness. BCCI will have to do a better job of rotating the bowlers in ODIs.
talksport Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 The news is Balaji and Nehra wil be fit to play cricket this month ( Jan 2008) and hopfully their injury problems are resolved now ( Balaji - Back and Nehra - Ankle IIRC) ....The coaches of both teams do not want to rush them , rightly so. But there is hoping.

Did you notice, moments after we won in Perth, Nicholas was on T.V and grudgingly giving some credit to the Indian team. He looked as though he might breakdown in a heap of tears any moment.
