Even though agree with OP, I hate to see people say India should lose. Shunya hit the nail.

No body wants India to loose, the harsh reality is the right changes doesnt take place till we get wack on our heads

Why did it take CT loss to realise oh wait we need wrist spinners, it was evident for more then a while

It took CT loss and few losses before in major tournament to realise- yuvraj singh was done long ago

Any random overseas series loss makes these things take place not just CT loss. So I am well aware about the effects of a defeat knockong few inconsistent players out. My sentiments are more for the statement. When you don’t want India to lose, then don’t need to say it. Just creates a crigeworth atmosphere when people start saying I hope they lose etc.

its like sitting and watching and enjoying cricket on tv and in comes a negative guy who says “yeh batsman out hone waala hai aur India haar jayegi.” So cringeworthy.

67 in 8 overs was a sub-par batting performance by the Indian team.   A loss here would have served the team's long-term interests by exposing their shriveled batting firepower in this vaunted "top-heavy" batting line-up.   Unless the team suffers losses, they will refuse to change their attitude and selection strategy.   We badly needed this loss after that batting "show".

But no.   Bumrah, Chahal and Bhuvi, along with Hardik Pandya's gun run-outs  provided the "rock stars" with a nice blue chaddi to cover up the nanga exposure of their pathetic batting today.

P.S.  Hope Pandya hasn't broken a finger there - bad time for him to sit out - he could have used the SL test series to get some red ball bowling practice.

It's wasn't sub-par batting at all. It was a par total on that pitch. We're expecting 90 on a 60 run pitch?
