They are likely to go with 6 batsmen for the first Test, given Rahane's poor form and have a conservative start..

Both Rahane and Rohit will be in the XI.

So, the bowlers will be Shami, Bhuvi, Umesh/Ishant, Jadeja..

This is very defensive team.

Jadeja and bhuvi are more of bowling all rounders on green tracks. This team will score but won't get 20 wickets easily.

Jaddu flops big time on green tracks and my prediction is kuldeep will replace one of our spinners in Africa later.

India has been grooming hardik for Africa and he is going to play in the eleven unless his bowling has declined.

Virat will never begin with 4 pacers, given the Indian mindset starting any away tour is always safety first. Also, keeping in mind Rahane's form and uncertainty about Tailunt (He will definitely play as he is abuddy of VK). Our best bet is to play Jadeja and 3 pacers.

Whatever be the pitch, if 3 pacers can't do the job, even 4 won't. Hence its better to have a specialist spinner to just change things a bit. Also, Jadeja is more economical than Ashwin and can extend our batting as well.

Vijay

Dhawan

Pujara

Kohli

Rahane

Rohit/K.L Rahul

Saha

Jadeja

Bhuvi

Bumrah/Ishant/Yadav

Shami

I will pick Bumrah just because he is different. We already have a one dimensional bowling attack without a left armer.
